The next morning, I wake up from a sound in my room. I slowly open my eyes and sit up, to see Jack sitting on the edge of my bed. Eyeless Jack. He's busy rummaging through a first-aid kit placed on his lap.

"Good morning," he says, without even looking up. "Just came to look at your shoulder. Take off your... Toby's hoodie."

I just look at him, still half asleep. Toby's hoodie? Oh yeah, right. I look down to see the brown sweater with striped sleeves and I remember everything from the pain to our connected hands. No wonder I didn't remember, the pain in my shoulder is almost completely gone.

EJ turns his masked gaze towards me, waiting impatietnly for me to respond. I frown. I still think it's rude to ask a girl to strip just like that, but do I really have a choice here? It's for the sake of my health, so yeah. I grab the hem of the hoodie so I can pull it over my head. To my surprise, I can use my shoulder without any trouble. Sitting in front of Jack with my bra exposed like this still feels awkward as hell. But he doesn't seem to care at all.

"Took you long enough," Jack growls. He bends over and removes the  bandages. I glance at my shoulder and again, I'm surprised. The cut is gone, only leaving a small scar and the stitches. "What sorcery is this," I mumble.

"Same thing I used when you almost died," EJ replies. "Always works."

Ah, the remedy he used to fix my weakened body when they brought me here. What a panacea. An idea pops up in my head. This means I can get pretty reckless, right? They just have to give me this afterwards and I'm fixed up in no-time. No, I should probably not make a habit out of picking fights. The idea is fun, though.

"I use this if one of us returns to the mansion with severe injuries," Jack adds as he grabs his scalpel. "I'm going to remove the stitches, it won't hurt."

I nod and Jack brings his scalpel to my shoulder, cutting the first thread. And the next one. As he has cut them all, he grabs the tweezers and starts tugging on the threads. The feeling of the thread sliding through my skin is weird and kind of disturbing and I cringe a little. But just like Jack said, it doesn't hurt. Yet, it's not my favourite way to start the morning.

"Done," Jack states. "No need for another bandage." He grabs the tools he used and places them back in the first-aid kit. "Breakfast is ready. You should come down." With that, he grabs the box and leaves my room.

I quickly walk over to my wardrobe and grab a plain T-shirt. Part of me wants to wear Toby's hoodie again. Despite it smell and the stains, it was really comfortable. But that'd be weird, right? I'll just return it to Toby after breakfast.

As I arrive at the kitchen, there's hardly anyone there. Everyone's probably out for their missions. It's just EJ, Silver, Hoodie and Sally. I'm so glad Jeff isn't here. The event of yesterday might be enough reason for him to ignore the rules and attempt to kill me. I better avoid him at all cost or stick around Toby, BEN, Red of Silver as much as possible. Although Red and Silver don't really stand a chance against Jeff, I think.

"Morning," I sigh as I sit down next to Silver. He looks up from his plate with a half-eaten sandwich on it. "Good morning," he replies with his usual soft voice. No, he wouldn't stand a chance.

"How's your shoulder?" he asks, his face worried. His ways always seems filled with worry, though. It only disappears when he's laughing and that doesn't happen often.

"Healed," I reply while grabbing a bowl to make myself some cereal. "Jack used his magic potion."

"Nice." After that, an awkward silence follows. Yeah, we're friends but we never really talk. It's much easier when BEN or Red is around. Where are they anyways? I thought they didn't do missions?

I just eat my cereal in silence. I guess my friendship with Silver only counts when BEN or Red is there as well, because this is really awkward.

"Hey, I have to do something," Silver says, after finishing his sandwich. "I see you later." With that, he raises from his seat and he puts his plate on the counter.

"Good luck," I say, before he leaves the kitchen. Great, now they're all gone. There are only two others in the kitchen, EJ and Hoodie. Sally has already left. I don't trust those two so I don't want to be alone with them. I start to eat my cereal faster, but before I can finish, they both stand up and leave the kitchen. Strange, but favorably. Now I can finish my meal in peace.

I reach for the knife Silver accidentally left behind. Just a blund butter knife, but still a knife. I grab it and let my fingers play with it a little. Imagine this knife hurting Jeff. The shiny blade piercing through his ugly white skin. Or even better; hurting everyone that has ever hurt me. Their blood being spilled instead of mine.

Wait. What am I thinking?

I quickly put the knife back on the table and shove it to the center. That wasn't good.

I get up and make my way to the kitchen entrance. I want to get out of here, and fast.
