"Listen I don't know what kids like, I didn't even know I was going to have a kid let alone get along with the little guy"I say pushing the grocery cart as my brother rode on the side of it just stuffing junk food into the cart which I normally do not object to during any day of the week after or during week

And at this time I honestly could use it considering work is building up more than usual even though we are making a lot of money it can be a real pain in the ass at times even if the bar fights did slow down

Just for a little bit.

"I'm craving some Pineapples, Let's go to the fruit area Y/n" Alex chirps up snapping me out of my thoughts as I steer our cart over to the left coming right out of the chips isle my brother just hitching a ride as he hums tapping the edge of the cart, He is like this every where we go he is the exact opposite of me always smiling, positive, less sarcastic,

And less stressed out.

"I fucking hate cantaloupes" I groan in disgust after we finally reach the fresh foods area as my brother holds one up to my face teasingly as I roll my eyes shoving them away from me before he puts it back down grabbing a bag to stuff the prickly pineapple in seriously those bitches hurt, Even if they have sweet juicy insides

"Stawberrwies" I hear a small cute voice ping out from besides me causing me to turn my head and see a small bedhead full of hair reach up towards the strawberries on the next row of fruits too far above the familiar toddlers reach causing me to grin and leave Alex with the cart walking towards the small boy

"Bub!" He says happily hugging my leg looking up at me as I smile before bending down to his level

"Are you here with your Mommy?" I ask ruffling his hair as he rapidly nods

"She speaking wih her fwiend" He says pointing over towards Camila talking to a tall fair skinned gentleman with well trimmed facial hair giggling profusely as I felt my face turn a bit red before looking down at the boy in order to calm myself down

I can't possibly feel jealous right now.

"Are you ready to turn four big guy?" I ask as he flashes a soft smile at me nodding as I tilt my head at him trying to forget the image in my head, This is not the time or the place I don't even know why I am so pressed about the sight before me we aren't even together anymore so she has the right to move on and talk to who she wants

Am I feeling this way because that person isn't me who's making her smile?

"Santiago!" I head Alex shout proudly as he rushed over to us with a full cart and a smile on his face parking the cart beside us before bending down to Santiago giving him a small hug in which he returned

"Rex" he says using a nickname he gave to Alex when he first met him

"Where's your mommy?" Alex asks and speak of the devil and he shall appear or in this case she comes over jogging towards us before lifting her up in his arms

"Santiago what have I told you about wondering off when we are out in public huh? You almost scared me!" She says holding him close as I roll my eyes sighing deeply before she notices he was with us for the time being

"Well if you weren't being such a flirt with your boy toy over there maybe you would notice where your child has been" I say with a serious tone and a smug smile plastered all over my face as Camila sighs before I felt Alex elbow me in the arm for my rude comment

Or at least I didn't think I was, I just have a thing for being honest.

"Hey Camila" Alex says sweetly as she flashes a soft grin returning the greeting as I saw Santi reaching for the strawberries I still held in my grasp

"I wus tryin to get ur fav fwuit but I couldn reach it" He pouts as I hand Camila the strawberries before she plants a soft kiss on his forehead

"Thank you Mijo, Let's go we have more shopping to do okay?" she says ruffling his hair waving at the both of us

"Otay, Bye Bub n Rex!" He shouts out cutely before they walk away and as soon as they are far away from us Alex decides to slap my arm this time causing me to wince in pain

"Damn Alex did you really have to hit me in the same spot?" I ask rubbing my arm as he shook his head at me

"Ease up on her, She may work for you but unless it concerns Santiago it's none of your business" He says pushing the cart ahead of me before motioning me to come on causing me to groan only loud enough for me to hear

Even though I don't even know the guy, I know he seems nice, and successful all, There is just something about him and I have no clue why but

It doesn't sit right with me..
