Your Pov"Damn maybe it was a good idea to get these balloons blown up with helium" I huffed blowing one more blue balloon before tying it up at the end so the air won't get out.
"Hey you're the one who wanted to put in the work for Little Santiago Remember?" Alex cooed teasing me as he spread the balloons out throughout the park making me groan as the sun beat against my forehead
I honestly wouldn't do this for anybody else.
No seriously.
"What? He can only be four once" I shrugged wiping some sweat that was forming off of my forehead looking around to see the beautiful scenery, We decided to have his birthday party out by the park because one I don't want any children to get anywhere near my liquor and two I don't want parents pressing charges on me for having them anywhere near alcohol or cigarettes to the bar as usual just closed for the day.
"Whatever grouchy, The food and cake is already here just finish up before Camila and Santiago get here" My brother says playfully rolling his eyes as I look around the park before getting up and pulling a neatly wrapped blue gift tucked away inside a nearby hole under a big tree.
All I've been doing lately is trying to come up with the perfect gift for Santiago that is, when I'm not working don't get me wrong the boy is growing on me, but my money will always be a very essential thing in my life. Though it also means I have the right to spoil him at least a little bit that way Camila won't get entirely suspicious of me growing "motherly traits" when it comes to Santiago.
Even though he's my son too, I still have questions for her..
When did she find out she was pregnant?
Why didn't she tell me about him?
Or hell why didn't she just try to contact-never mind I forgot I cut off all communication with her during that time period..
"Bub!" I heard a small little voice squeal before my right leg came in contact with a small body causing me to groan before looking down to smile at the small boy before me.
"Happy Birthday Handsome boy!" I growled playfully picking him up making him smile from ear to ear as I ran my fingers through his jet black hair, Damn he really does resemble his mother in more ways than one and that's for sure. I pray that he doesn't have my personality when he gets older and if he does, he might get into a lot of trouble especially if he has my mouth.
"Did your Mommy dress you today?" I ask observing the small child who wore a blue polo along with some khaki shorts and brown sandals.
"T-This my favwoite color" He said pointing to his shirt as I softly grinned knowing that it was also one of my many favorite colors, Call me crazy if you want to but I also think Camila remembered why else we love the color blue if anything Blue Is the Warmest Color.
"He's not the biggest fan of red though" I heard a soft voice call out causing my head to snap up to see Camila grinning softly at the two of us as she stood there in a simple vanilla sundress and matching heels as she came towards us.
She looks..Really Really Pretty.
That's the highest compliment I can pay her right now.
"Mommy does looks pretty!" I heard the toddler say happily making my eyes widen before I averted my eyes towards Camila who had a light tint of pink flash across her cheeks making me groan and roll my eyes.
"Hey Birthday Boy!" I heard Alex shout as he jogged towards us with more gifts in his hand before setting them down on the table before Santiago reached out for him as Alex scooped him up into my arms.
"You wanna play with me before we blow out your candles huh?" He asks bouncing him up and down a bit making Santiago eagerly nod before they walked away
Leaving Me and Camila
Alone.
As in Alone together outside.
"So um..Santiago is growing up huh?" I chuckle nervously rubbing the back of my head as she nods the look on her face not entirely changing.
"I think we need to talk"
"Okay? About what?"
"About Cuba, When I found out that I was pregnant with Santiago that day before you left.." She said making my once happy face grow sour and a bit pale
She can't be serious right now..
Our Memories was similar to that of tearable paper, But it's the heartache that remained...
