(A Few Days Before)

After a five hour plane ride, and a kid kicking the back of my seat the whole time, thank god that I'm finally here. Luke was asleep the whole time, what a surprise, so I didn't really get the chance to talk to him.

We got off the plane and made our way to baggage claim. I hate it. I never have good luck when it comes to my own luggage. They usually lose my luggage or it never made it on the plane, which I have no idea how that happened, but it did.

After almost giving up, my black suitcase appeared and I was saved. I almost forgot Luke was there was waiting for me.

"Ugh finally. Sorry about that, this always happens." I said.

"No need to apologize, its not your fault, but we better hurry if we want to catch a cab, its pretty late."

I never noticed how dark it was until I got outside. It didn't look that dark outside on the plane, but then again I could barely see because the guy next to me kept closing the window.

* * *

There was a guy dressed in a black suit standing next to a black BMW waiting to pick us up.

"I guess we don't need a cab after all."

The drive wasn't as long as I expected. Concluding that it was dark, I couldn't really tell what the house or where we were going looked like, or what's around it for that matter.

We arrived at the house, or hotel, or whatever it is and headed towards the door. We were greeted by a girl that looked like she was in her twenties, dressed in all red. The only thing that wasn't red was her name tag which was bright yellow and said 'Megan'. What a weird combination of colors.

"Hi i'm Megan, your hostess for the week. You two have the honeymoon suite and are in cabin five. I hope you both have a wonderful stay here at the Monroe Cabins."

Megan flashed us a smile and handed us our keys and we headed out.

At least she's nice.

"Ooh the honeymoon suite. Fancy." I teased Luke.

"Uh yeah well you know, I wanted a nicer room."

Something seemed off about him, but I didn't feel like asking. I was already tired and jetlagged enough and i'm sure he was too.

The cabins from what I could see, were two story houses, but nevertheless they were still beautiful.

We got to our room and Luke struggled to get the key in the door, but I noticed that his hands were shaking, weird.

After battling it out with the door, we finally made it inside and I tried to find a lightswitch, but there was no luck. Then out of nowhere the lights turned on and all my friends and family yelled "SURPRISE!!"

I jumped back scared as hell.

"Guys!! What are you doing here?! Luke what is this?!"

And right as I turned to Luke, he got down on one knee and pulled out a black box, with a ring inside of it. And then he said it.

"Lexi will you marry me?"
