Meeting the Cullens/What I Am/Baseball Game of Terror

I dressed in a long sleeved black shirt, and regular black jeans, brushed my hair, and put on my nice black boots, and waited outside for Alice. She came around the corner, a grin on her face, and grabbed my hand... She said,"I wonder...How fast can you run?" I shrugged, and she began running at a regular pace, until I started running, the wind slapping my hair into my face, my speed as fast as Alice's vampire speed...Shocked, Alice quickly caught up to me, and I followed her until we came to a large house. She held my hand, and lead me inside. Immediately, the smell of Italian food washed over me, and Bella and Edward met us...

Carlisle Cullen shook my hand, and said,"I've heard some interesting things about you..." We went into the kitchen, and a brown haired, beautiful woman looked up and smiled at me..."I'm Esme, and you must be Rowan...Are you hungry? I made Italian..." Alice quickly went over to her, and whispered in her ear, and Esme glanced at me...She told me,"I'm so sorry...I didn't realise you don't eat..." Rosalie dropped a glass dish, shattering it, and shouted at me,"Don't you realise the danger you and your stupid sister have put us in?! This isn't a game!" The room temperature dropped, as I got angry, and I told her,"I would never hurt you or your family..." She stormed off, Emmett shooting me an apologetic look as he followed her...Jasper stood in the corner, glancing at me quizzically, as he looked at my feet...Ice crystals had formed beneath them, and I raced from the room, Alice calling my name...I sat beneath a tree in the woods behind their house, and Alice caught up to me...She sat down next to me, and stroked my hair...She asked,"What's wrong?" I told her,"I'm a freak of nature...What else?"

She said,"Carlisle is already working on it, using that book you gave me, and your records...I hate to tell you this, but...You're not actually Bella's sister...You were adopted when you were born...And, as near as we can tell, you're an Elemental Vampire, which is why our skin isn't cold to you, you're never hungry, you're as fast and strong as we are, and why the temperature drops when you're upset...It also explains the ice..." We sat there in silence for awhile, until she kissed me, and my heart almost stopped...She grinned at me, and asked,"Would you like to join our baseball game tonight? There's going to be a storm, so no one will notice the noise...And, you can actually play, since you're stronger and faster than a human..." I said,"Sure, I would love that..."

Later that night, Alice and I ran to a clearing that had been turned into a makeshift baseball field. Alice grinned, and said,"It's time", right as thunder sounded...Alice winked at me, and explained that she could see the future, except for split second or last minute decisions, and the future could always change from what she saw. Alice played pitcher, and Edward nervously glanced at me, as I stepped up to bat...Alice flung a fastball at me, and I swung, sending the ball flying high and far. Edward raced for it, as I raced around the bases. I slid into home, right before anyone could tag me out. The game continued, the thunder covering our hits and colliding with each other. All of a sudden, Alice shouted,"Stop!" Confused, we all ran to her, and I found out there were strangers that were blood drinking vampires coming. I knew Bella was in danger, so I stood side by side with Alice in front of her.

The dread locked one began talking with Carlisle, as the redhead female and blonde man studied me curiously...Suddenly, the wind blew, and I realised why everyone was worried about Bella...Her sweet scent made me hungry, but I shook my head and it calmed down. The blonde thought Bella was a snack, and tried to attack her, but I stepped in front of him, and easily sent him flying backwards. Bella's eyes widened, and the blonde smirked, as the three vampires turned and ran off...Edward threw Bella in Emmett's Jeep, and I followed behind with Alice... Apparently, the blonde vampire was named James, and was a tracker, and was now hunting Bella...Great...Normal would never be my life...
