I missed a day, which is not normal for me. Finals are coming up and I had too much to study and couldn't bring myself to come because of how much I had to do.
You seemed concerned as I walked in today, my hair thrown up in a messy bun and glasses sitting awkwardly on my face. I didn't have the energy to put on any makeup, coming in in a baggy sweater and pair of leggings. I almost forgot to put on flats instead of my slippers. That would've been a sight to see.
You added in a croissant to my order, free of charge. And when I was about to say something, you winked, and said, "it'll be our little secret."
A secret. Usually a few words kept between two people that it's meant to stay with.
Little did you know, you were my secret as well.
Love,
Briella
