I looked carefully at the slide show people were mangled bleeding out and barley recognizable
I gagged

"Mom turn that off" my mom turned of the slide show "your dad will have a solution to this problem" she said smiling I gave her a fake smile my mom always in trusted my dad to find solutions to things like these however the people of New York thought she was perfect with her ginger grayish hair and Michael kors
Dresses however I knew she was just failing to keep herself together

"I'll see you tomorrow mom" she nodded I made my way out and signaled for a cab

Once in the lobby my friend Kristina from high school texted me

I texted her the same answer I usually had to this kinda text

I put my phone back in my purse and headed to my apartment, once in I decided to turn on the tv while I cooked diner the first Thing I heard while my back was towards the tv and I was facing the fridge was "the mayor has no plan on the recent attacks" after I heard that I instantly grabbed the remote and turned the tv off

I had found some Mac n cheese cups from the pantry and decided to cook me one , after I ate I was on my way to the shower when someone was knocking at the door I opened it and there stood Ashley

"How did you know where I lived" i asked she smiled "it was on your resume" I still was confused why was she here at this hour which was 11:03 to be exact "you must be confused mr.green likes to do things the old fashioned way" she said and handed me an envelope her pale skin glowing in the dim hallway "thank you" I said she grinned and said "no problem"

I closed door the to my apartment and ripped the envelope open and out came a letter doesn't this man know how to text or call I put my number on my resume, the letter said welcome and congrats on making the job I did a happy squeal until I read the please come in tomorrow part

The next morning I had my clothes on and I straightened my hair and was making breakfast which consisted of 1 omelet when something hit my window I looked into the living room when I saw a rock with a note attached to it I walked into the living room who could've thrown a rock all the up to the twelfth floor

I put my omelet in a rubber container and called maintenance to fix my window I snagged the note of the rock and took it with me

Once at work the same old grumpy grandma sent me to the waiting room while there I pulled out the note that was attached to the rock out my purse it was written in very sloppy pen and read beware of mr.green I threw the paper away who could write such a thing

"Mr.green would like to see you now" said an middle aged man I thanked him and headed for the elevator

I knocked on mr.greens office door and heard him say come in once I entered he was sitting at his desk and motioned me to sit "thank you so much for picking me" I said happy as ever "yes well your stories you wrote moved me and I thought it would move a lot of people" I smiled "what were you thinking of writing next" he asked

"Well I want to cover the attacks on the city" I said he frowned "I don't think that animal attacks are what's going to make you stand out"
He said bluntly I gulped maybe he was right they were happening but should i really get involved

"I will find something mr.green I won't let you down" he smiled and told me "I hope so"

After the meeting I was determined to find something to write about so I wanted to get some advice I knew Kristina was just the gal so I invited her to dinner

Around nine I left for dinner I decided just to go casual and wear a black dress  I also put my hair into a low bun I hoped I wasn't over doing it but knowing Kristina she went way more over the top than me

I told Kristina to meet me at the dock a nice place over the river I had put in my reservation ahead of time

I sat at our table it had a nice view of the water just as I was looking at my phone out comes Kristina with her all sparkly dress "hey girl" she said as she took a seat I smiled "hey"

"So I want to know all about your hot boss mr.green" Kristina gushed I rolled my eyes "I mean he is cute but I -  Kristina cut me off "girl he is a Greek god I need details" I was going to kill this girl "okayyyyy I give you the details then you help me with my assignment"

"So he sounds like the perfect guy" Kristina said I stare bug eyed "I'm 18" I say a little to loud so loud a lady next to our table says "yeah 18 with dinner reservations he sounds gorgeous hunny" I put my head in my hands

After we ate Kristina got  into a  cab an I decided to take a walk  she was absolutely no help instead she insisted I had to see my boss grace the cover of Forbes magazine maybe journalism isn't my thing

I was walking down an alley to get back to the Street when I heard a woman screaming the writer in me had to see what was going on even if this could be trouble

I ran as fast as I could in wedges when I seen it an animal far like no other the woman was was bleeding horrible from her neck her blood just gushing out , she looked as if she was on the verge from passing out the guy was pushing her up against the wall but I couldn't see his face
"Let go of her" I said loudly
