Harper jones was born and slightly raised in Manhattan by her very wealthy parents she dreams of becoming a reporter but recently a lot of animal attacks had been happening destined to get to the bottom Harper finds out more than she bargained for
"Kristina stay put" I said patting her shoulder "you're not serious going out there that's how people die in scary movies" she said a very pleading look in her eyes before I opened the door their was a scream it sounded like our driver
Kristina was practically hyperventilating "okay calm down Kristina breath please" I said trying to calm her down "I'm gonna take a look" Kristina grabbed my hand "no your not I'm not losing you this is......" she was breathing heavily "Well I have to see if the drivers alright don't you care" she shook her head "well I do"
"Harper please don't" I opened the door "stay put" I said slamming the door I walked around to the front of the car my heart stopped it was the guy with the braid from earlier but our driver was being slurped like a Capri sun by him he glanced slowly at me smiling the blood running Down his chin
I ran back to the car instead of getting back in the back with Kristina I opened the drivers side door and tried starting the engine "Harper Harper why are you rushing" "what was It Harper" Kristina begged "I don't know" I said trying to start the car but whatever kind of sicko that was outside noticed and stood up the headlights shining on him
His mouth was covered in blood and his pale skin shined almost in a shimmering manner his braid was slightly disheveled his was wiping the blood from around his mouth when I noticed his eyes were no longer hazel but red I squinted my eyes just to make sure I wasn't dreaming "Harper what the hell is that" Kristina started yelling I stepped on the gas speeding down the road I didn't even know where we were but it was late so no cars where around
Kristina was throwing up in the back "I think I'm going to pass out" I was to focused on the road when she started screaming "what is it" I said looking through the rear view mirror "that thing is catching up Harper" I chocked "what do you mean he's catching up" I looked back to the mirror when I seen it he was running on foot suddenly he disappeared I hit the gas again
"Harper he's on the roof" Kristina said throwing up once more I started sweating I hit the gas and started swerving we had to be doing almost eighty miles per hour
Everything went blank the car flipped my vision black as I heard the slamming of the flip the crunch of the glass my ears were ringing violently I felt a cool substance run down my forehead

"Her vitals are bad doc" my eyes faced the celling it was all blurry as I was being rushed into the hospital "several broken ribs" the doctor who was rushing me kept giving my situation to another doctor next to her I opened my mouth slightly "where is my friend" the doctor looked at me shocked "she's okay" I guess I'd have to live with that answer until I could find more breath but it'd seemed like that answer was all I needed to hear
I was in a room "your gonna be alright" the doctor said putting an Oxygen mask over my mouth I guess i fell asleep for a while that's when I heard yelling I opened my eyes to see mr.green arguing with Ashley "you knew he was coming and you didn't warn me" green said fiercely "he's family and told me he wanted to fix things" Ashley said looking ashamed "when does he ever want to fix things" he said practically spitting venom in her face
"Hey guys" i said making myself known "Harper are you alright" green said "I don't know" I said he seemed to struggle with that answer because he ran his hands through his hair he definitely looked like he didn't get any sleep he was still wearing his tux from the party "I'm sorry this happened to you Harper" Ashley said Ashely said sitting on the hospital bed and that's when mr.green started laughing "of course you are" he said I don't understand what exactly was going on
"I hope you get better Harper" he said leaving obviously frustrated but about what Ashely left calling after him last nights memories came back in little bits and pieces the sound of us flipping repeatedly the ringing I started to cry I pushed the button in the room so the lady would come back "is everything alright" she said checking me " no I need to see Kristina my friend she she ..." i started to cry again "okay hun it's alright I can bring her in here" the nurse left
I was starting to get a headache from the crying my ribs were all bandaged up my cheek was scratched that I could feel my wrist was in a cast no one had signed it yet but apparently the nurse get well soon it read
There was a knock at the door and In came Kristina she had a nasty bloody eye and her leg was in a cast she was rolling in a wheel chair the nurse wheeled her in "one hell of a way to roll" she made a joke I started crying "Hey you look worser than me" she said crying as well "I'll leave you ladies I just called your parents remember to hit the button if you need any help"
As soon as the door clicked Kristina started talking "well when they were done getting the cast on mr.green was right there asking me if I was okay" I Chuckled it hurt but I couldn't help it even in our most desperate situation she was still well Kristina "Kristina what did we see last night" she had a look of deer caught in headlights "I'd rather not remember but I can't explain obviously that guy was on pcp" i couldn't explain either if I was to be honest "at least you're parents will come" I looked at Kristina whose wheelchair was right by my bed "Hey they love you like a daughter" I said reassuring her
Time passed me and Kristina tried to think about anything else than last night soon enough my mom and dad arrived "Harper and Kristina are you all alright" we both nodded my mom and dad hugged us both "were you drunk" my dad said looking me in the eyes what do I say "I wasn't driving at first" I said quietly "what do you mean hunny" my mom said and for the first time in a while she was actually worried about me and not politics
How was I supposed to say this there was no way to say this they wouldn't believe the truth "it was an animal outside he went to check on it he never came back" i said the tears started coming down again Kristina started to speak "so Harper started to drive and I guess we were going to fast" she said Finishing the story my parents looked saddened and disappointed but I couldn't tell them the truth
"Okay girls get some rest I'm sure they'll discharge you all soon" my dad said my mom handed Kristina her phone" that was all the police could find" I nodded my parents started to walk out the room "wait dad who found us" I said "oh um mr.green found you all right after the crash police said he must've been close behind you all good thing he did right" me and Kristina gave each other looks my parents left probably to go address the public to say his daughter wasn't a drunk mess
There was no one else behind us was there I asked the question in my head over and over maybe I don't remember as much as I should've
