"What the hell was that Kristina" I asked I had let her sleep in my apartment last night but as soon as she woke I immediately bombarded her with 100 questions

"I didn't even remember that was him I was so drunk please don't hate me Harper" she pleaded I was going to give her a pass cause I couldn't care less about him anymore

"Fine but if that ever - she cut me off "it won't Harper he is so ugly I'm ashamed" I laughed "why didn't you say that when we started dating" she got up from my sofa while I still sat there stagnant she made her way to the kitchen

"I didn't wanna hurt your feelings" she said making coffee meanwhile I just rolled my eyes I hadn't checked my phone since last night but as soon as  I did a ton of texts from my dad and mom started coming in

Mom : Harper have you seen the news

Dad : are you okay

Mom : me and your dad are sure the killings were from a wolf

Dad : putting your apartment on alert

Dad : i love you

The memories from yesterday flooding in gave me a headache I walked into the kitchen where Kristina's pot of coffee was I poured my self some "since when do you drink coffee" Kristina asked I sat right beside her at the island "since my parents started dragging me into their political business" Kristina laughed "just grab some alcohol with me tonight" she said

"Really" I said raising my eyebrow Kristina pushed my shoulder "duh you need some fun in your life" Everything that could go wrong crossed my mind but at the moment it seemed like a good idea "okay but I need a new outfit" I seen a look a hope cross Kristina's eyes "don't even think about it" I scoffed "please Harper you can't wear a church dress to this club" she pleaded

"My clothes aren't that bad" I protested she rolled her eyes "I get to pick your outfit" she said in a serious demeanor "fine but you do know I have work tomorrow" I said whilst finishing my coffee "that didn't stop you from saying yes" Kristina kept persistently winking

Later we took cabs to the hottest shopping centers in New York City
shop after shop Kristina wasn't satisfied until we stood in-front of Lilly Demarcuses clothing store one of New Yorks finest clothing stores big glass doors and a shop bigger than your average Kroger I almost tripped getting out the cab

"Hurry slow poke" Kristina lended me a hand "I don't see why this place is so special" Kristina opened  the door "you'll see" she said  the store was huge how were we supposed to find anything in here it also has elevators for the other floors, a lady greeted us in

After an hour of Kristina dragging me through the store we got to the second floor and she stopped "why are we stopping"  I asked she stared at something with amusement my eyes finally caught on there on the manikin was the most beautiful dress I'd ever seen

Red and long with a slit up the hip it sparkled  for sure Kristina smiled "that's the one Harper" I finally stopped daydreaming "a little bit to muck for a club don't cha think"  I said in a sarcastic tone she laughed "not just any club anybody who's anybody is going"

"Care to elaborate" I said she rolled her eyes "all the big names in New York will be there even mr.green" she played the words out on her tongue I was in complete shock "how'd you get invited" she looked mind-blown as if she was a star "I obviously went and demanded tickets because my friend is the mayors daughter duh" she said running her hand along the dress

On the way back to my apartment I looked at the very expensive dress that was now in a black bag Did I mention the whopping prices Kristina got her favorite kind of dress it was gold and loud just what she wanted the cab driver hummed to himself as we drove in almost silence because Kristina fell asleep in the cab

A few hours later in my apartment I had finally finished Straightening my hair into a sleek ponytail added I couldn't do it without my hairspray Kristina was blow drying her hair when I heard her phone ping  "hey Kristina you got a text" I said as I shimmed into my dress "be there in a second" she yelled

I couldn't help but let my eyes wander over the text

David:
How's the tickets? 😉

Who the heck is he and why did she lie about the tickets he must be an important guy to get into a party like this my trust was getting awfully thin with her

After Kristina came out she went over to her phone typing away "who are you texting" I asked winking implying that I knew nothing she smiled "oh just some guy" she said smiling I cocked an eyebrow while applying my red Mac lipstick "just some guy" I asked

"Okay ... Okay he might be the one who got us tickets" I pulled the best shocked face I could muster "you looked at my messages didn't you" she said putting while putting her hair in curlers "why lie" i asked while fixing my foundation "because he might work with your dad" my jaw dropped why because that was an actual shocker for once something I didn't know

"Jesus how old is he" I asked poking fun of her "woah now Harper he's only twenty-two" she said catching on "so he's one year older than you" she nodded

After I teased her enough about David we finally called a cab and left although the cab driver wanted to know why we were dressed so fancy I had fell asleep
In the car because the drive was so long but when Kristina tapped my shoulder my blood ran cold and there he stood
