My Emo Best Friend

Chapter 9

A year later
(You have traveled through time again)

Everything as been great. My scar healed completely. For some reason my hair became darker, but whatever. Loy wasn't a problem anymore. Kristena was now our friend, even if it took time for Azm to accept that. She eventually did.
We've done projects and gone to field trips and invited each other to each other houses.
This was the story of 2 hybrids and a human. But Azm is still a emo tho. That's what annoys me. But I try to ignore it.
I managed to convince her to be my friend. And it happened. Though she still acts all nervous around me, and I still can't seem to figure out why.
At the moment we are at the local library, looking at ancient books about my weird wolf transformation. More of my fur had turned grey.
"Found anything?" I asked.
"Nothing at all Estellar!" Kristena yelled back.
"Shh!" Said a nearby nerd reading a book about archeology.
"I think I found something.." Azm said pulling out a book from the highest shelf. I started coughing. It was dusty as heck.
"Damn." Kristena said.
We read the title, Hybrids and their Astonishing History and How It works. I opened it. This book was old!
Kristena started reading.
"This part tells stuff that's useless. I already know this stuff. Here!" She said.
"Shh!" Said the nerd. Kristena frowned at him.

I read:

"Wolves: these kind of Hybrids are mostly common. But some of these Hybrids are unusual. Some wolves can be alpha, which means that they have magic running in their veins. Most of these Hybrids don't even realize they are alpha.
Some of these Alpha wolves are noticable. Others, aren't. A way to figure if a Hybrid wolf is alpha is that it changes it's wolf form. Which is actually the spiritual animal of someone, and how that spiritual animal looks like combined with the Hybrid, which the person's spiritual animal doesn't necessarily have to be a wolf. This person, is most likely gonna change their life. In other words, someone who finds this wolf Hybrid, interesting."
"WHAT!" I yelled horrified.
"SHH!!!!" Said the nerd.
"You SHH!" Kristena growled.
I looked at Azm but her face seemed red or something.
I- WHAT! WHAT! WHO THE HECK AM I GOING TO LOVE? Wait. WHO LOVES ME?!?!
I felt rather young to be in a relationship like that. Kristena started smirking.
"Who's this lover?" Kristena asked me, still smirking.
"What! I don't know! I don't even talk to the guys." I protested. Kristena started making silly romance noises. I had to wack her.
"This means your an alpha wolf," Azm said suddenly. I did realize that now. Azm's expression was blank or something. She seemed to keep staring at the floor.
"Azm are you alright?" I asked. Azm flinched as if she was deep in thought.
"Um. Yes. I am fine. I was just... thinking." Azm answered. I guessed I was suppose to figure something out but didn't.
Kristena seemed to figure out something but didn't say. She instead kept reading the giant book.
"I want to check it out, meet you guys in a minute," Kristena said then fled to the counter where the librarian was.

I decided to ask, "Azm?"
Azm looked at me, "Yes?" She seems so nervous.
I took a deep breath, "Are you mad at me or something? Is there anything I can do to repair it?" Azm looked at me like I just asked the dumbest question.
"I'm not mad at you? Why would I be mad? You haven't done anything. Do I act mad?" Azm said.
"Well I thought you COULD be mad, I don't want to make it weird but you've been acting weird around me," I said. Azm's eyes went wide as if she didn't know that.
"Really? I'm- it's not you. It's that something is bothering me..." She said. I didn't ask for what was it.
"Ok," I said.

Kristena checked out the book and we went to our homes.
"Bye guys!" I had said.
"Bye Azm! Bye Estellar!" Kristena said.
In her slow low voice, Azm said, "Bye." And then I must of imagined it but she also said, "....B-bye.....lo-love....." I don't know why I thought she said that or she did say it. I turned around and notice my face was red.
What is wrong with me.... I thought then shook my head, I'm probably just traumatize after what I read. I could easily blame it on the first person I see.

Yeah that's what's happening...

"I'm home!" I said in the most cheerful voice I could do. My mom came to greet me.
"What took you so long?" She said. Her different color eyes sparkled watching me. I had to tell her.
"Mom. You won't believe this," I started. She looked at me curiously.
"What?" She asked smiling.
I took a deep breath, "Mom. I'm an alpha! I'm a alpha wolf."
"What? You are?" She said being speechless. Then I was trapped by my mother's warmth. "That explains your wolf change." I changed into my wolf form. She laughed and changed too.
Her form was a dark blue wolf with her odd eyes.
"But mother. I've completely changed. And we read a book...," I said then slowed down my speech. What would she think about this? I began to worry.
My mother nudged me with her nose. Then said, "What did you read in the book?" I looked away and my ears folded back.
"It- it says that I would know if I'm a alpha if...." I looked at her wolf eyes then dropped, "It says that I changed because someone.... L- likes....me..." Mom took some small steps back in surprise and gasped.
"What?" She said. She seemed more scared than happy or angry. She changed back to normal and seemed to start panic.
"What's wrong mom?" I said starting to get worried. Mom panicked.
"Your dad- he-" Mom said. I didn't know what she was taking about. I last seen my dad when I was 6. He apparently left or died.
