Ellie's POV
The moment he asked me to leave his house, it hurt me so bad. Until this day, I still wondered why he hated me so much.
"Are you okay, Ellie? I'm sorry for what Chase did a while ago. He sometimes can be very moody and intimidating. But when he's happy, he looks like a kid who just got his candy" Bryant chuckled while his eyes were concentrating on the road
I glanced at him and nodded as I gave him a weak smile then looked down at my fingers
He let out a sigh "Do you like him that much?"
I jerked my head up and sighed then turned to the front before I answered "Yes, but he doesn't feel the same way as I do. He hates me" I felt a lump form in my throat. I bit my lips trying not to breakdown in front of him
"You're a good person, Ellie. And if he doesn't see you that way, then it is his loss."
I let out a small chuckle then I heard he laughed as he gave me a quick glance then his eyes were back on the road
After 10 minutes of riding, we finally arrived in front of my house
"Thank you for a ride." I thanked him as I gave a smile
He smiled back at me "It's my pleasure."
I got out of the car and gave another smile before I headed toward my house. He waited until I reached in front of my doorway then he drove off
I opened the door and was greeted by my mom who was busy preparing food
"Hello, baby. How was school?"
"As usual" I gave her a kiss on the cheek before headed upstairs to my room
As soon as I entered my room, I threw myself in my comfy bed and stared at the ceiling, still thinking about what happened at Chase's house. I then let out a deep sigh
Suddenly, my phone buzzed. I took it out of my hoodie's pocket. It was a message from Olivia
From Olivia
How is Chase?
I let out another sigh before I texted her back
To Olivia
He's better now.
From Olivia
That's good.
"Honey, the food is served." My mom shouted from downstairs
"I'll be there, mom."
I took a quick shower and straight to my closet and changed into a comfy cloth
-----------------------I came downstairs and saw dad was already home
I greeted him "Hello, dad" I gave him a peck on the cheek, he did the same. Then he walked to mom and pecked her on the cheek
"How was work, honey?" my mom asked
"It was tough. There were a lot of works that must to be completed" he sighed as he loosen his tie before he took it off
