Chapter 5

Ellie's POV

'Am I daydreaming? Like seriously, did it just happen? Did Chase just ask me out?' I thought to myself as I pinched my arm, making sure that I wasn't actually dreaming. I jumped around in excitement

I quickly headed to the table where Olivia and I usually sat. I spotted Olivia was busy eating her potato fries. I immediately approached her

I slammed my hand on the table, snapping her back to her sense. She looked up at me in surprise

"What's with that look on your face?" She asked as she put a piece of potato fries into her mouth

"Guess what just happened?" I wiggled my eyebrows at her teasingly

She furrowed her eyebrows together like she was thinking hard. Then she smirked as she arched one of her eyebrows at me teasingly "Did Chase ask you out?"

I slowly nodded my head up and down "YES"

Her eyes were widened in surprise. After that, she let out a loud squeal as she jumped around, didn't give a single fuck about everyone in the room

"Hey. Hey, sit the fuck down, Olivia." I whisper shouted as I pulled her hand to sit down

She finally sat down. She laughed excitedly "Finally, it's happening."

"I know" I bursted out with laughter

"Bitch!" She suddenly pulled me into a bear hug

"I...I c...can't... breathe." She then released the hug and stared at me joyfully as she had a wide smile on her face

"I'm so happy for you. You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this to happen." She wrapped her arms around me again. I giggled

I was so lucky to have a best friend like her. She was always by my side no matter what happened. When I was sad, she was the one who cheered me up. When I lost my hopes, she was there to motivate me. When I accomplished, she would be happy for me. I was nothing but thankful for her being the best of friend I had.

Chase's POV

I headed to my next class, science class. I forgot to mention, Olivia, Ellie, Bryant and I were in the same class. I loved science. You all already knew why. I always caught myself staring at her and admiring her beauty and how she made my heart skip a beat and forgot to breathe. How was it possible that the most perfect and precious human being like her ever exist?

After a few minutes, I saw Ellie and Olivia walked into the class with cheerful smiles on their faces. I couldn't help but stared at the girl beside Ellie. It made me so happy seeing her smiling like today. I then noticed Ellie staring at me. I could see her cheeks flushed into a pale red color

She then walked toward me as Olivia walked to her seat that was the second seat on the left side of the classroom

"Hi" Ellie beamed before she took a seat in front of me

"Hi" I shyly said

She turned around to look at me "You're so freaking handsome. Do you know that?" She exclaimed

My eyes were widened at her sudden compliment. I cleared my throat "Thank you." I flushed her a shy smile

She bursted out with a chuckle, and then she pinched my cheeks "You're so cute." She then turned to the front, minding her business

I saw Olivia laughing from the corner of my eyes. I felt my cheeks warming in embarrassment

During class, Ellie always found the opportunities to turn back to look at me. She was so annoying. 'Gosh, why did I choose to revenge by dating her?'  I mentally rolled my eyes

She turned back to look at me again. I gave a 'What do you want?' look at her. She immediately turned to the front again as she giggled. After 2 minutes, she turned around again, but this time with a note folded into a heart shape

I shot her a confused look. She raised her eyebrows and pointed her lips towards the paper, asking me to read it

I nodded my head in understanding. She immediately turned back to the front before the teacher caught her

I unfolded the paper that she gave me just now.

It said "Are you a magician? Because whenever I looked at you, everyone disappears."

I didn't notice I was laughing at her cheesy pick up line while reading

As soon as she heard me laughing, she looked at me over her shoulder. Then she mouthed me 'It's true.'

I laughed as I shook my head at her cuteness
