Thursday Morning
"Good Morning, Miss Ryan" Geoffrey greeted once I came into the kitchen. "I'm surprised I didn't have to come up there and wake you up myself, considering you came home a little late than usual" he smirked as his eyes stayed trained on the fruit he was cutting.
"Oh, you know about that?" I asked rubbing my neck.
"I know everything, Miss Ryan," he says glancing up at me momentarily. "Now, where were you?"
"I thought you knew everything" I mimicked with a smile, reaching for my plate but he moved it back so I couldn't get it. "Ok ok fine," I said giving it. "I went to see Ashley"
"Ooh and how did that go?" he questioned with a serious tone as he gave me my plate, leaning on the counter.
Minus my friends and the school, Geoffrey is the only person that knows I'm gay. It was by accident because like an idiot, I was rehearsing what I wanted to say to my parents in the mirror in my room.
Thank god it was Geoffrey that heard me, but before I could tell my parents my Dad died, unfortunately. And I couldn't tell my Mom that, after what happened so just I hid it from her, for a while. Of course, she supports me, just not my dressing habits.
"Well for starters we've been seeing less and less of each other as of lately," I tell him with a sad sigh. "And when I text her, I barely get replies half the damn time"
"Which is why you kept checking your phone Tuesday morning," he says taking my now empty plate away from me.
"How did-" before I could finish my question he beat me to it.
"I know everything, remember," he says. "But go on"
"Whatever, but so yesterday morning I woke up super early to see if I could catch her before she left for school, but I missed her thanks to this 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster, the driver was just sitting there as the light turned green"
"Oooh those are some expensive cars," Geoffrey says with a low whistle. "My son wanted one of those for his sweet sixteen"
"And did he get one?" I asked.
"Miss Ryan, your mother pays me well, but not enough to afford one of those cars"
"Fair enough," I say with a shake of my head. "But so yea, since I missed her in the morning, I thought I should swing by after school"
"You spent all that time after school at her place..alone?" he questioned giving me a questioning look.
"No, it wasn't like that," I tell him quickly, catching on to what he meant. "We spent at least five and half hours arguing"
"What happened?"
"She said I don't make time for her like how I used to and that our relationship has lost its spark," I tell him with an eye roll at the end.
"That's gotta hurt"
"Yea, she also said that I'm too much of a guy more so than a girl"
"Excuse me, but what is that suppose to mean, Miss Ryan?"
"That's exactly what I said!?" I exclaimed. "But I don't know, it's whatever now," I say getting up. "I guess I was trying to hold on to something that was already gone, to begin with"
"Sounds like me after my second marriage" he joked.
"Heh, hey so where's my mom?" I asked looking around. "I haven't seen her all morning, which is surprising because she would have been told me that a young lady does not dress like that"
