Antonio Minnelli
I woke up, not recognizing my surroundings. I heard a soft sigh of a woman. I jumped up, trying to find my shit. I called myself trying to shake the headache from last night.
Amiri 😈 6:50 am
Where you at nigga?!Amiri 😈 7:00 am
We got moves to make! This plane leaving in 30 minutes.I moved even faster. I heard some movement behind me. The woman in bed opened her eyes and looked at me with a smile before drifting back to sleep. Grateful for her silence, I dashed out of the room and then building.
"What you doing Lynn? I need a favor." I immediately called her.
"Anything for you daddy..." I heard her sleep filled voice.
"Come pick me up and take me to my spot. Amiri left me without a car." I explained. Ten minutes later, she was pulling up to the block.
"So, outta all your hoes you call me." She flirted. She really had on makeup like I can't still see the sleep in her eyes.
"I just needed a favor. It's not gonna happen again."
"Boy please. You been sliding to my spot for a minute. So why you won't let bygones be bygones so we can get back together?"
"Nah shawty. Thanks for the lift though." I closed her door without a second glance.
"What took you so long?" Amiri immediately lit into me about thirty minutes later. I rolled my eyes and flopped down in the private plane. "I was about to make these moves without you."
"For somebody out the game, you sure are active." I eyed him. He smirked and stroked his beard. We were heading to Miami to check up on my inventory and investments. "What you do when y'all left?"
Amiri took a minute to respond. "I went to see Angelina." He confessed with a Kool-Aid grin on his face. Personally, I didn't like the bitch. She was a user. Manipulative. But I wasn't about to lose my twin over no pussy. I didn't give a fuck. "What did you do to be almost late to make these moves?"
"Shid... you left me without a ride so I had to make a way." I shrugged. He knew I was lying. "I had Lynn drop me off at the house." I admitted.
"And what she say?"
"Just begging and pleading for us to get back together. Same shit but after she embarrassed herself at the game last year, I'm really cool on that. I'll fuck one time for the one time though."
"I can't believe you still at that girl..." he shook his head. Like he could judge.
"I just needed a favor. Damn...now what's the report?" I shifted into business mode. We spent an hour talking about the specifics of the kilos coming off the coast. I dosed off shortly after everything was squared away.
Two hours later and an outfit change later, we landed in Miami. The limo took us to the hotel where we settled. I picked up my favorite gun and concealed it in my suit jacket.
"Don't kill a nigga tonight please?" Amiri pleaded playfully.
"I could tell you not to do the same." I felt a smile twitch on my lips. We hopped in a beat up throw away car and took off toward Little Haiti to see my link. An hour later, Pablo walked out of the trap house on the southwest corner of Little Haiti with an excited smile on his face.
"You got the 15 kilos?" Amiri didn't even waste time with pleasantries. Pablo's face instantly frowned.
"This is why people don't like to work with you...damn! How's the family Pablo? Excuse my headass brother." I rolled my eyes at Amiri.
"All is well right now mi hermano." he gave me a bro hug. "I wish you wouldn't bring that twin with you though..." he looked at Amiri in disgust.
"If you weren't valuable...I would've been blasted yo ass." Amiri popped off. Pablo ignored him and went to the back of the house where the product was being held for now.
"The supplier threw in an extra 2 kilos because you're the best customer. But of course he expects to have his profit in exactly 3 months time from today." Pablo explained.
"When have we ever been late? Or short?" I was overconfident but I had every right to be. My brother did the inventory quickly, affirming it was all there and we paid Pablo before making arrangements for the drugs to be moved. We all shook on the deal and left the neighborhood, but not before speaking to all the old heads and grandmas of the hood.
"Damn...I could do this for the rest of my life." I kicked back in my hotel suite. Amiri kept quiet at the little nook in the corner but I knew he disagreed with my lifestyle. But that was because he was in so called love. "Did you get that internship you been gunning for?"
"As a matter of fact, I did. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to participate in SGA and intern at the same time."
"You'll figure it out...especially if you're serious about getting out the game for good." I stroked my beard. We went to another trap house to check on my money to check and see where everything was being distributed.
"Uh, y'all..." the guy that kept the books when Amiri was away looked over his glasses. "Money is missing."
"Missing how?" I dusted off my immaculate Armani suit and waited for his answer.
"Large sums of money. The books aren't adding up." he tried to explain. Amiri pushed him from behind the desk and started doing the numbers himself. He pulled off his glasses with an annoyed expression on his face.
"Let's go see a mole about a hill." he growled for a second. We left the boy in the office alone and shaking. We pulled up to the warehouse to see Herman, a fat little man with a loud mouth.
"I heard my shit missing and it's coming from your warehouse." I hoisted his fat ass above the ground. He blinked like he didn't understand. I repeated myself and the man swallowed nervously.
"I don't know what you're talking about." he lied. Amiri chuckled to himself before cocking his gun.
"Nah bruh...I got this. I hired this piece of shit. I'll take his ass out." I dropped him on his ass before pulling out my 45 with a silencer. "5 seconds to tell the truth..."
"I needed..."
"So I don't pay you enough? Am I not sending your kids to college and your wife at home doing shit...fucking off with one of my potnas. Really Herman..." I laughed off. He stammered over his words. Annoyed with his voice, I shot him in the mouth. Blood went everywhere...but our suits. I massaged my muscles and left the warehouse.
"Feel better?" Amiri teased.
"A little...my money still gone though." I mused. We laughed before heading to dinner with the CEO of Grand House; a real estate empire.
Over the course of the weekend, we made the moves we needed to make, stopping by the crooked politicians just to make sure we were still in agreeable alliance.
"Is everything how you want it now?" Amiri asked as we loaded the private plane on Sunday morning. I nodded my head, picking up my business binder for my Tuesday class. "You ever thought just how crazy this is? Kingpins in college?"
"Of course...but shid. What duo could do it better?" I laughed as we took off. That night I got back exhausted and irritable. Alone in my thoughts, the girl from the party kept interrupting my process to fall asleep. I couldn't lie, that ass is fat. But just who was she? I was too busy with my lie to really care just to understand how important she was about to be to me.
