Unexpected Visitor

Ilang araw na ang lumipas at ganon parin ang daily routine. Magigising ako sa umaga para magluto ng breakfast and then gigising na si Laurent at pagkatapos ay bigla nalang mawawala iyon pala umalis na ng hindi nagpapaalam. Wala naman akong naririnig na complaints mula sa kaniya na nandito ako sa unit niya but i'm still wondering kung kailan ako makakabalik sa unit ko? Mag-iisang linggo na akong hindi nakakabalik.

And I'm getting bored here. Walang ng ibang magawa bukod sa magbasa ng libro, makipaglaro kay Persy at mag-drawing.

Mabuti nalang meron si Sallie na bumibisita dito at dahil wala din along magawa, nakikipaglaro nalang din ako.

Everytime I play with this kid, I can't help but to miss my childhood days. I missed that time when I was so innocent and I don't give a single crap about the world. But times flies and here we are now, I became an adult and I'm married to someone who barely talks to me anymore.

Well, ç'est la vie.

"Sallie, do you want some cookies?"

"Non, laterrrr." First time niyang tinanggihan yung cookies! Tahimik lang ito at may binabasa na libro habang nakaupo sa sofa.

She's reading something and I think it's familiar to me...

"Home sweet home?" That's one of my children books! My work! Saan niya nakuha iyan?

"Oui, Rousse! It's one of my favorite book!" It made me smile when she said that. I'm glad everyone loves my book.

Home sweet home was one of my favorite work. It is a story about a little girl who is lost in another world and she goes for an unexpected magical adventure to find her way home.

Noong ginagawa ko iyan, nagkulong lang ako sa sa kuwarto ko at magadamag na ginagawa iyon and some of the scenes doon ay napanaginipan ko ans some of it are in my own experience noong bata pa ako.

Should I tell her about the author of that book?

Hmmm... Nevermind..

"Oh really? All right, just take your time there and i'll just leave the cookies in the table fpr your snack." Masaya lang itong tumango at pumunta na ako sa kusina para mag-ayos.

That feeling... is this how it feels like to have a child?

Bakit ang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko? Baka masaya lang talaga ako...

Muntikan ko ng mabitawan yung plato na hawak ko dahil may bigla akong narinig na kumakatok sa pinto. Is it Laurent? Maaga pa ah? Mga 6 pm pa kasi ito dumadating at 3 pm palang.

"Is it Mr. Luce?" Tanong ni Sallie at nginitian ko lang ito.

"I don't know. I'll just check it out." Tumango lang ito at dumiretso na ako sa pinto.

Pagkabukas ko ng pinto, Isang babae na matangkad at may suot na fur coat at naka-office attire ito at may hat din. Mahaba at wavy ang kulay golden brown na buhok nito pero halata na may gray streaks narin ito.

There's only one woman I know in my life who have this kind of aura... this fierce and gloomy aura.

"Mamma..."

"I see...still lovely as ever, my daughter-in-law."

What an unexpected visitor... my mother-in-law.

"May I come in?"

"Oh oui, oui." Sabi ko at tumabi para padaanin siya. Isinara ko na yung pinto at tinulungan siyang tanggalin yung coat niya at yung hat niya at isinabit iyon sa rack. I saw her looking around the unit and I almost forgot that Sallie is here.

Tahimik lang si Sallie habang tulalang nakatingin sa kaniya. I can see how she is so captivated by Madame Wallis Catherine Bellamy's beautiful face. Too beautiful for a middle age woman like her.

Linapitan ko naman ito at binulungan na pumunta muna sa kuwarto at doon muna mag-basa nung libro na agad niya din namang sinunod.

Hinarap ko naman si Mamma at sinubukang tignan siya sa mata but her eyes is too fierce! May pinagmanahan talaga si Laurent!

Wallis Catherine Bellamy-Lamouraeux is a famous fashion fashion designer, not just in France but in the whole world too. She is also a former fashion model. She is renowned for her unique fashion style during her time so she decided to make and build her own fashion line in which it succeed to marks its name into the fashion world.

"You look anxious, mon cher. Please don't be." Sabi niya at umupo ito sa sofa.

"Ahmm... do you want a tea or a coffee?"

"Coffee is fine." Pagkasabi niya non nagmamadali akong pumunta sa kusina para magtimpla ng kape niya at nagdala narin ako ng biscuits.

"Please sit, Louise. I just want to talk with you, it's been a long time."

"Yes, it is.." sabi ko at sabay kamot sa ulo. Mamma can be this fierce looking sometimes but she have a kind side too. She is just having a hard time showing her affections.

Tumabi naman ako sa kaniya at nagulat ako sa susunod niyang ginawa...

"I really missed you, Louise..." mahigpit niya akong yinakap kaya yinakap ko din siya pabalik.

"Mamma..."

She is my second mother after all. I'm getting too emotional again...

"I didn't know you two have already a child." Tinutukoy niya ba si Sallie? Humiwalay naman ako sa yakap niya at umiling-iling.

"Sallie is not our c-child. She's a neighbor's."

"I know that. I'm just teasing you." Natatawa niyang sabi at napa-pout lang ako. She's having her good time.

"I'm surprise na malinis ang apartment ng magaling kong anak ngayon? The last time I went here, it was sure hell." She said sarcatically and I just laugh. "He sure is hopeless without you by his side huh?"

"Yeah, I guess so?" Is he really? "By the way, Mamma, biglaan po yata kayong napadalaw dito?"

"Well, about that, Lian mentioned to me the other day that you are here so, I just thought that I would drop by here to visit you while he's away."

Lian is her nickname for Laurent. It's from his second name.

"Louise?" Tawag niya sa akin at hinawakan yung kamay ko. "I don't know what's going on between the two of you but let me say this..."

"He still loves you after all these years. I want you to save your marriage. Don't lose hope on him, okay?"

That was a very heart-warming words...

"Je comprends, Mamma."
(I undestand, Mamma)

Will our hearts give us one more chance?
