"so when is it again?" johnny asked mackenzie for the fifth time. "december, johnny. twenty seventh december!" mackenzie exclaimed, getting slightly exasperated.
"okay, so three more months!" johnny smiled. nodded and returned his smile, her annoyance dying out.
"let's put this discussion to a hold for now." johnny begged. "okay. lemme get dinner ready," mackenzie agreed.
johnny nodded, and instead went upstairs to shower.
"don't take too long, or your dinners gonna get cold," mackenzie called out behind him.
mackenzie had surprised him today and come to his house to plan out all the wedding details for their wedding in december.
she was planning on staying the night, so they had plenty of time to do all that.
while johnny showered, mackenzie began boiling pasta on the stove. as she was waiting for it to boil, she felt a pair of arms slither around her waist.
"john," she murmured, her cheeks heating up. "yes, kenz," he whispered into her ear.
mackenzie could feel his soft breath on her neck, and butterflies flew around her stomach. even after dating for four and a half years, johnny was still able to make her blush and cause butterflies to flutter in her stomach.
"i need to get dinner going," mackenzie murmured. "it can wait," she said, pushing her against a wall.
he pressed his lips into hers, and they moved in sync. johnny began kissing her jaw, but before anything else happened, mackenzie pulled away.
johnny couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed. evertimenmackenzie would pull away, an excuse ready with her.
"the pasta," she said, as she took it off the stove. "mhm," johnny grunted.
the two of them sat down to eat, and began talking once again.
"our new single is coming out in two days," mackenzie said, grinning widely. "yeah, it's cool," johnny said, still feeling slightly put out from what happened only a few minutes ago.
they ate in silence for a few moments, before johnny spoke. "will we ever tell them?"
mackenzie looked up from her plate in confusion. "tell who what?" she asked. "the fans. about us. getting engaged." johnny replied.
mackenzie blushed once again. it was still so surreal to her that she and johnny were actually engaged.
"why don't we just come out and tell them on the day of what if's release?" mackenzie answered. "are you sure you want to?" johnny asked.
"yeah. they've anyways begun guessing because they saw the ring on my finger," mackenzie shrugged.
"it you're sure that's what you want, then let's do it." johnny nodded. mackenzie smiled warmly at him, and then picked up both their dishes, and placed it in the dishwasher.
