✩✰༄"two dates in one week! someone's busy!" annie smirked, yet again going through kenzie's closet to find something for her to wear for her little 'hangout' with johnny.
"i'm not choosing to hang out with johnny!" mackenzie protested. both lauren and annie raised their eyebrows. "stop guys!" a frustrated mackenzie groaned.
"okay fine, but i think you should go get ready. johnny's here," lauren pointed, looking out from the window overlooking the front door.
mackenzie screeched and grabbed the clothes annie was holding out for her. she hurried into the bathroom, and changed, applied her makeup, and left her hair down.
by the time she was done, johnny was already inside the house, talking to annie and lauren who, at mackenzie's request, were still friends with him.
mackenzie couldn't help but feel slightly nervous. this was the first time she would actually be "talking" to johnny after their break up. she inhaled and exhaled a few times, before going downstairs.
"let's go?" she asked him, covering up her nervousness.
he immediately stood up, and nodded. as they left, mackenzie grabbed a hoodie hanging on a chair, and then the two of them walked out of the house, but as mackenzie was leaving, she saw lauren and annie exchanging worried looks. to her, their looks were the most relatable thing in the world.
as they walked, mackenzie put on her hoodie, "i like your hoodie." johnny complimented mackenzie, a slight smirk playing on his lips as they sat in the car.
mackenzie looked down, and saw that she was wearing a johnny orlando hoodie.
"shit," she mumbled under her breath, turning slightly red, while johnny smiled to himself, proud of the effect he still had over her.
"where are we going?" mackenzie changed the topic. "well, first, greg has called us to his office," johnny told mackenzie. she sighed but nodded.
when they reached, greg took the pair of them to 'johnny's creation room,' only, it wasn't his creation room anymore. it had been turned into a mini gym. "what's this for?" johnny asked, angrily. "where do you expect me to write music?" he continued. "this is for mackenzie, and another room has been organized for you," greg responded calmly.
"why do i need all of this shi-rubbish?" mackenzie asked, annoyed.
"we need to get you fit. you've been nominated for two awards. you'll be sure to win one, and you need to look absolutely stunning when you walk down." greg explained.
"she already looks stunning." johnny muttered under his breath, so no one could heard him, but mackenzie did and turned scarlet.
"so that's why faith will be in charge of getting you ready." a young girl appeared at the foot and she gave mackenzie a small wave, which mackenzie returned.
"just let her brief you a bit, and then you and johnny are free to leave." with that said, greg left the room.
"hey guys! i'm faith! nice to meet y'all! so as you know i'm in charge of all your fitness, and your style. so let's start today! you need to learn how to walk in heels. have you ever walked in them before?" the girl spoke so fast, mackenzie found it hard to comprehend what she was saying.
"uh...no, i don't really wear heels," she replied. "oh honey, how were you planning on walking the red carpet?" faith asked in genuine shock.
"well, i was gonna rock in a pair of sneakers." mackenzie grinned. "sneakers!" faith stared at mackenzie in horror. "that won't do. let's start today. here you go." faith walked over to a small cupboard at the back of the room, and pulled out a pair of red heels.
"here ya go. try them on." she insisted. "i can't!" mackenzie whimpered, as she tried to wear her heels, while standing. "ooh! cinderella moment! johnny. make her wear her shoes while she sits!" faith clapped her hands in glee.
mackenzie rolled her eyes. this faith kid was already getting on her nerves and it had barely been ten minutes.
johnny meanwhile smirked, and when mackenzie sat down, he bent down in front of her with one knee.
"jenzie!" she squealed. mackenzie rolled her eyes, while johnny just grinned. he helped mackenzie with the shoe, before standing up.
"well, if cinderella's shoe was the perfect fit, why did it slip off?" faith asked them, grinning widely.
neither johnny nor kenzie bothered to answer, and mackenzie tried to get up in her heels, but she immediately tripped. johnny caught her and she straightened up, embarrassed. she took a few steps but stopped. her feet were already in pain.
"that's great! now all you have to do is spend the day in those! go on, have some fun!" faith said, too excited for her own good.
mackenzie rolled her eyes, and stormed out of the room, something she had been doing a lot recently, except this time she was stumbling along he way.
johnny thanked faith politely, despite how annoying she was.
"oh johnny. you can't take your car. mackenzie she has to walk in those shoes. hand me your keys," faith ordered. johnny opened and closed his mouth, but not wanting to spend any more time with faith, gave them up. a tiny part of him also wanted to see mackenzie struggle while walking in heels.
he left his ex creation room, and followed mackenzie out the door.
