Everyone has a soulmate.
You do not know who your soulmate is until you meet them.
The only thing you know is that they are the gender you are attracted to, so if you like more than one gender, you are out of luck for guessing their gender. When you turn 18 years old, the first words your soulmate will say to you will be tattooed on your body, this is how you know when you meet them. Only few people meet their soulmate before they turn 18, and even fewer meet them the day that the younger one turns 18. If you're the older soulmate, your tattoo will change color on the day of the younger's birthday.
Scott turned 18 about ten months ago and his tattoo is on the right side of his torso on his rips. The tattoo says 'Fuck me.' He doesn't understand why it says that, but it just makes him more anxious to meet his soulmate.
Mitch turns 18 today and he wakes up to see a tattoo on his left wrist that says 'Sure, when?'
"Happy birthday, Kissy Boy! What is it?"
"Thanks, Mom. It just says 'sure, when?" What does that even mean? Why would he only say that when he meets me?"
"Maybe you'll ask something before he says that." Mike suggests.
"Maybe. I'm gonna go get a smoothie from the cafe. Love you!" He gets in his car and goes to the cafe. He walks in and sees a hot blond next to someone he assumes to be his friend sitting at the counter.
Mitch orders his drink and sits down a few seats away from them, so he involuntarily hears their conversation while scrolling on his phone.
"This morning?"
"Yeah, I woke up and looked it the mirror and I saw it went from blue to black, so he turned 18 today." Mark nudges Scott and subtly points at Mitch.
"Damn.. Should I talk to him?"
"Definitely."
"Superfruit Smoothies for Scott and Mitch!" The barista calls. Mitch gets to the counter and grabs his drink. He doesn't see Scott until it's too late and he runs into him, spilling his smoothie as a result.
"Fuck me." Mitch mumbles, making Scott smirk.
"Sure, when?" Mitch freezes and looks up at him.
"W-What's your tattoo?" Scott's face dawns in realization and he makes eye contact with Mitch, which is when they both feel a spark run through their bodies.
"Well, nice to meet you, soulmate. Happy birthday."
Mitch smiles, "Thank you." He looks down at his smoothie stained shirt and sighs before kneeling down and cleaning the mess up with napkins.
"Here, let me help. Sorry about that, by the way." Scott apologizes.
"No, it was my fault. I wasn't watching where I was going." They finish cleaning it up and Scott feels worse when he sees Mitch has nothing to change into.
"Do you prefer sweatshirts or t-shirts?" Scott asks Mitch.
"Um.. sweatshirts, why?" He ignores the question as he turns around and buys Mitch a green sweatshirt that they had for sale.
"Follow me." Scott grabs Mitch's hand as Scott brings them to the back room before closing the door.
"Isn't this room only for employees?"
"I work here and my boss loves me." Scott tells him as he gets a damp towel. "Take off your shirt."
"What? You take off your shirt."
Scott chuckles, "I'm not letting you walk around covered in a smoothie."
Mitch changes into the sweatshirt, "I still think you should take your shirt off."
