Ace sat on top of a rooftop looking out over the city, the warehouse in sight. Ace sighed leaning back, her head resting on the duffle bag. Couldn't she just go home? Sure going home had been the original plan, but going home would mean explaining herself and putting everyone and everything they'd worked for at risk. Ace stared out upon the city. Maybe she could practice those new powers Waller had apparently unlocked. Ace sighed, and imagined a bird. She felt her body shift into the form and slowly began to flap her wings. She gave a surprised shriek as she actually lifted off the ground. After doing a couple of tricks, Ace shorted and changed back, giving a small shudder as the spell dissipated. Sitting back by her duffle bag, Ace looked down eyeing the warehouse. She was rather surprised that Jack didn't have snipers. After everything that had happened she would have thought he would have more security than just a couple of lackeys walking around.
"Well, well well! Look who I found!" Ace's blood ran cold. William. She grabbed her gun and whirled around to face him, finding him inches from her. He slowly raised his hands with a low chuckle. "Oh relax, you just come home with me and I'm sure Kar will go easy on you." Ace growled, "I ain't going back to no prison." William shrugged, "Well- was worth a shot." He licked his lips slowly drawing his gun. "However, I am going to enjoy killing you and sending your body back to your partner." Ace's eyes darkened and she glared at the man. "You can't kill me. I'm invincible." William chuckled. "Oh really? Didn't seem that invincible back at the prison!" Ace let out a yell and lunged at him. William was ready for her and stepped aside, letting her fall to the cement floor of the roof. Ace groaned and looked back at him, her eyes glowing with green fire. William chuckled darkly, drawing a tranquilizer gun, watching as the woman's eyes widened in fear. "Now- we can do this the easy way-" William loaded the gun with a red dart and aimed it on Ace. "Or the hard way."

Ace looked around desperately. There had to be an escape. She couldn't go back to prison, she couldn't. The sound of a car door slamming shut made Ace turn around. Her one mistake. She saw a hint of what looked like a fire engine red sports car before she was pushed back by William. Ace's eyes widened as she fell, she squeezed her eyes shut, willing for the witch's powers to save her.

Jack Carson stepped out of the red Ferrari with Kayla. He walked around to meet his girlfriend, giving her a quick peck on the cheek. "So? I did good tonight right?" He asked teasingly. Lana giggled nodding, reaching out with her right hand to caress his face. "Of course, love. You always do amazing." Jack chuckled pressing his mouth to hers. "That's what I like to hear." The pair was interrupted by a flash of green and the sound of weight on gravel. The couple pulled apart and Jack's eyes widened as he saw the source of the commotion. The girl with raven black hair and piercing emerald eyes glared up at a rooftop, and weakly tried to stand but failed. Wait- those eyes... why were they so familiar? A few moments later the girl collapsed in exhaustion. Jack knelt down and put a hand to her forehead, she was burning up. He looked over to Kayla, who looked horrified. "Go get Lily. She needs help." Kayla nodded and hurried off. The second she was gone Jack moved the girl's hair away from her face, his breath leaving his body as he did so. No. It wasn't her. But it had to be. Because no one had that scar and the same emerald eyes.

Ace awoke in the same room where she had retrieved her heist clothes. Ace groaned as her muscles roared in pain. "Where have you been?" Ace's eyes widened and she turned to see Jack standing in the doorway. She sat up slowly, before looking up at her partner, a frown on her face. "Believe me- you do not want to know." Jack glared. "I actually do want to know- because I saw you drown. You were shot and then hit by a boat. There's no way you survived that." Ace chuckled, "you forget- I'm not- or I wasn't, weak. I had enough time to let go of the boat before Kara hit it. I was sure I'd drowned when my vision faded and I woke up in a prison cell." Jack snorted. "You expect me to believe this?" Ace glared at him, her weak emerald eyes holding a green fire. "Of course I do- you know me to well." Jack sat in a chair next to the bed and out his head in is hands. Ace frowned, "what's wrong? I thought you'd be happy to see me? I've been locked away for three years. I risked my life to come back-" Jack raised a hand to cut her off. "It took you three years to break out. Three years. That's how I know it's not you. The Ace I knew could break out of a prison with no problem at all. At most it would take a month- and that's with injuries." Ace growled lowly. She should have known he'd be suspicious. And she didn't have anything to prove her case. She sighed and looked up at him. "You want the whole story? Fine. Only it's not pretty." Jack nodded for her to go on. Ace leaned back against the pillows, and began her story. "... Before my last test, they were in the room with some other girl- they were going to kill me and send back my remains. Then they were going to take you and use you. I had to go. I wasn't going to let them take the last person who could stop them." Jack nodded slowly. "Alright... go on..." Ace shook her head, tucking her knees to her chest. "No... I don't want to remember..." Jack sighed getting up and moving to her side, wrapping an arm around her comfortingly. "Look- I may not know what happened- but I'm not going to force the truth out of you," Ace opened her mouth to protest but was stopped by her partner raising a finger, "regardless of whether or not this is the truth. We'll discuss what happened when your feeling better. As for right now, we need to focus on getting you back to normal- physically and mentally." Ace nodded, he was right. Before anything else- she had to get her strength back. Then she could get her revenge on Kara Waller.
