Ace couldn't remember a thing about the day she's been taken. It's been three years ago, and the experiments that the government was running on her didn't help her memory. She faintly remembered that she had been with her lover and partner in crime, Jack Carson in the midst of summer. They'd been out on the water in a luxury boat when they'd been ambushed. Ace remembered falling from the boat after being shot in the shoulder twice, the water was ice cold and she was sure she had blacked out instantly. Now she wished she had died. Death would surely have been better than being held hostage by the government for three years- or was it four? Ace didn't know anymore. The room she was kept in was made of stone. Ace sighed leaning back against the stone wall, looking upwards to the ceiling, counting the cracks as she'd done for the past two and a half years. After the first six months of her capture, Ace had lost all hope that anyone was coming for her. She squeezed her eyes shut, attempting to remember what had happened and the faces that were now becoming stranger and stranger each day. She suddenly shivered, her arms instinctively coming around her body. Her fingertips fell against her numb skin, moving in an up and down motion as to create some sort of heat. Ace looked around for something, anything, that she could use as a heat source. Her eyes fell on a vent, blocked by a couple boxes at the far end of the room. Her eyes widened. How had she not noticed this before? She slowly walked over to it, a strong limp in her step. Ace locked her eyes on her target, determined to make it. She collapsed in front of the vent, giving a content sigh as she felt the satisfaction of heat. Ace's ears pricked as she heard the voices. Voices she had grown to fear. She scrambled away from the heat source and back towards her corner. She curled up into a ball just as the door opened and William Griggs entered, a strange girl that wore a black mask with him. Moments later, Kara entered, a wicked grin on her face. "See? She's completely broken. No way in hell she sighed use to us." William said. Kara snorted and shot him a glare. "It's not your decision to make. It's mine. I say we run some final experiments in her before ending her. Then we'll send her corpse back to her little boyfriend." Ace's eyes widened. They were going to kill her. Ace looked back at them, forcing her muscles to work. They paid no attention to their prisoner as she slowly stood. Ace smirked as she felt some sort of strength. She slowly crept towards them, preparing to attack the mystery girl, when a rush of electricity shot through her body, causing her to fall to her knees. She glared up at her captors. Kara strutted towards her, her black heels clacking against the cement floor. Ace's eyes widened in fear and she pulled her body back, ignoring the burning pain in her muscles as white sparks from the shock crackled around the parts of her body that moved. Ace found her self against the wall as she looked around for a chance of escape. Kara grinned at her captives fear. "William, bring her to the room. Our friend here needs to learn some manners before we send her broken body back to her family." Ace shot a look at William Griggs as he walked towards her. She felt her legs weakening and dropped to the floor, breathing heavily. Her eyes fell on the vent. It could be an escape route. She doubted anyone had noticed it was even there, and since it had been concealed by the boxes that just made it even better. Ace heard Kara giving William orders, she felt herself be picked up and slung over a shoulder. Her eyes fluttered shut in defeat. Another round of shock therapy it was.

Ace writhed in pain as electricity courses through her. "Relax, princess- don't fight it. It'll only make it worse." Griggs taunted. Ace growled lowly, opening her eyes to glare at William's father manning the switch. He grinned meeting her emerald eyes. "Oh come on, you'll be home soon- only, you won't be alive for that..." Ace held her cold glare. She was not dying. Not today. Ace felt an all to familiar feeling course through her veins. Her eyes widened in shock momentarily. What was happening? It all went to hell when her eyes glazed over. Only they weren't dull like Kara had expected. They were green. Good Ugg's cursed backing away slowly. Ace grinned as she felt the power coursing through her, slowly healing her broken body from the inside. Get them. They deserve death for what they did to us. Ace nodded in consent, it'd been so long since she'd felt the witch's power coursing through her. One minute Ace was as defenseless as a baby. The next, she could move better than she had in years. She'd be extremely sore later- but for now, she had the power to escape. Ace looked around, and not seeing her amulet decided on creating a spare one when she got home. Home. The word sounded wonderful yet terrifying at the same time. Ace ripped the binds off her wrists and stretched as she stepped onto the cold floor. She grinned as the workers backed away in fear. Ace crept towards a table that held a small gun on it. She glanced up at Griggs, who stood directly on the other side of the table. She chuckled lowly, grabbing the gun slowly. She shit him in the leg, giving herself time to escape. She walked through the halls, fighting her way through, when she found herself at a The dead end where her cell was. Ace smirked. She could escape through the vent. No one would guess that she'd go back to this hellhole. She pride open the vent and crept in, closing the vent behind her. She took a deep breath before continuing forward. It was a tight fit, but when the witch's words rang through her head, she couldn't help but give it a small try. Shift my pet. They thought they were gathering information. They were dead wrong. They made the mistake of expanding your powers. Now shift, shift, shift... Ace's eyes widened as she felt herself shrink. She looked down and squeaked. Wait- squeaked? Her hands were now little paws. She turned around seeing a small tail had sprouted from her but. She thought for a moment. A mouse would be expected. And it'd be much easier to get out now. Ace continued through the vents for what felt like hours until she saw it. A light. She turned left and she let the shifting spell fall. She crawled towards the circular vent, and put her ear against it. Water. Birds. Traffic. She grinned opening the vent and leaping out, landing on a dumpster. "Shit man- did you hear that?" Ace cursed softly, quickly shifting again. Only this time, she found herself as a cat. She mewed in laughter as she walked past the guards, and across a large parking lot. If she's known that was there before- she'd have left along time ago. She slipped easily through a hole in the perimeter gate, before trotting down several blocks. She found herself in an alley. Perfect. Ace staggered as the shift spell wore off. Ace stood up and stretched her arms and legs before walking away from her prison. Now she just had to find out which city she was in. Then she could get home. She walked out of the alley and into a public area. Ace put her hands over her head instinctively as the sunlight shone in her eyes. She looked around and smiled. It looked like Metropolis. She walked down another street and grinned widely as she saw an all to familiar bridge. She was in Gotham! She suddenly frowned. But why was it so sunny? The sun never shined on Gotham. The city had been known for dark days. She walked over to a news outlet and cast her eyes on a tv reporting the weather. "A surprisingly sunny day in Gotham City! It is currently 78 degrees..." Ace sighed looking down at her tattered clothes. This was worse than her clubbing dress. Ace walked down the street, pick pocketing a tourists map. She opened up the map almost instantly. She stopped. She was in the central part of the city. Her parents penthouse was uptown, as well as the mansion. Downtown was the club, and the warehouse was in the Narrows. Ace settled on the warehouse, if she went to the club it might cause a fuss- and she didn't  know who had ratted her and Jack's location to Kara. For all she knew, it could've been someone in the immediate gang. Her best bet was to go find Jack. If she found him, she'd have enough time to pin him if need be. Ace started on her way to the Narrows, it wasn't that far, maybe another five blocks until she crossed the border. Ace walked through the streets, paying no mind to the onlookers. Ace knew she looked like trash, but her hair and clothes weren't her priority. She spotted the warehouse minutes later. Ace chuckled creeping towards it, she stopped as she saw the security cameras. Ace frowned. This would be difficult. Ace's eyes widened as she spotted Bren Barlow. Ace grinned. And what made things even better, he was alone. As he approached the door nearest to her, Ace sprang out of her hiding place, taking the man off guard. Bren gave a small oof, as he was pinned, with a knife at his throat. Ace sighed, clicking her tongue in disappointment. "Oh Bren, I thought we'd trained you better." Been stiffened as she leaned down, her breath hot on his ear. "You always check your surroundings. You pay attention to every rustle in the leaves, every bit of movement." Bren whimpered under her. "W-who are you? You sound j-just like her..." Ace sighed shaking her head. "Bren- I didn't die. I never did." Bren shook his head, his eyes filled with terror. "N-no! When our team got on the beach we saw it! We saw you- you were crushed in between the boats!" Ace sighed, "I didn't die. They wanted everyone to think that I was so it would be easier for them to-" Ace cut herself off as she heard movement. Run. They're coming for you. The Enchantress's voice taunted. Ace looked at him, her face filled with worry. "Look- just let me in okay?" Bren shook his head. "No! Your a trespasser!" Ace sighed leaning down over him. "I was hoping I wouldn't have to do this..." She said. Bren's eyes widened as her fist reeled back, before colliding with his face.

Ace had taken Bren's security card and strutted up towards the back door of the warehouse. She scanned the card and opened the door with ease and closed it softly behind her. She looked around the room she was in. A table stood in the center, a board with papers tacked onto it nearby. The heist room. Ace gave a quick look around before stalking over to the board to examine the papers. They were plans. Ace shook her head as she fumbled through the plans. Half of these were minor jobs that could easily be botched. Then she froze. Footsteps. Ace hurriedly tacked the papers back up onto the board before she ducked into another room. Closing the door behind her, she turned and gasped, stepping away from the door and into the center of the room. More specifically her room. She ran a hand along the satin sheets with a sigh. It'd been so long since she'd felt fabric this soft. She turned to a dresser that had a plethora of pictures. All of them of her. Ace picked one up and raised an eyebrow. "Well isn't that flattering..." she muttered setting it down and proceeding to open the drawer, a smile of satisfaction played her features as she pulled out her mission clothes. Her classic black catsuit, armed to the teeth with bullets and hidden pockets. It looked as though it hadn't been touched since she last wore it. She pulled out her other mission outfit, the one she'd used more in her teen years. The corset with the short shorts was almost as dusty as the catsuit. Ace sat down on the bed, playing with her fingers. The way she saw it, she had several options. Wait for Jack to get back and explain herself- hopefully without being shot dead on the spot, or cut and run. Ace sighed shaking her head, walking into the en suite bathroom to change into the catsuit. As she slipped into the tight leather, Ace found it to be a little big. She frowned, they'd starved her more than she thought. Ace plastered her mask over her eyes, staring at herself in the mirror, she was only a shell of what she had been. The once strong, confident and headstrong leader that had been there before was long gone. Now she was nothing more than  a mere fraction of what she had been. She had little to no muscle anymore, and she could practically see her bones through the catsuit. Ace sighed grabbing a duffle bag and shoving some of her clothes into it, and grabbing her gun and some pistols before turning towards the window. She leapt out without a second glance. Now it was just her versus the entire city if Gotham.
