We head over to the cars, laughing about the flour mess in the kitchen.

"I can't believe you guys actually did that!" Emily says.

"I honestly can't either. It just kinda happened," I laugh.

Cain wraps an arm around my waist.

"Vic and I are gonna take the BMW," Emily says, walking over to a car parked in the driveway.

"He got it for her for their one year anniversary. She loves it," Cain tells me.

"Aw that's sweet," I say.

Cain smiles down at me. He has that look in his eyes and I almost ask what he's thinking. Sometimes it'd be really nice to hear his thoughts.

"Alright, I've got the Porsche, the bike-"

"The bike. Definitely," I say.

"The bike? I've got my truck, too, if you-"

"Oh c'mon, Cain. I'm not scared," I say, giving him a raised eyebrow.

"Oh, I see. And here I was all worried about you," he says, crossing his arms.

Now I take a moment to think.

"You're worried about me on a motorcycle? I trust you," I say.

"I'm not worried about me making a mistake as much as I'm worried about some other asshole who's not paying attention," he says.

I walk up to him, placing my hands on his chest. I look up into his eyes and slide my arms around his neck.

"We'll be okay," I say.

He groans, not wanting to say no, but not wanting to yes either.

"You're wearing a thick helmet and holding onto me the whole time," he says, grabbing a couple helmets.

The smallest one he has is still a bit loose on my head, but he tightens everything and secures the helmet as well as he can. I know he wouldn't put me in danger. It scares me how much I trust him, but it's true. I can't deny it.

We finally take off and I squeeze Cain. He laughs a little and I can feel the vibrations in his chest. I would hit him, but I don't wanna let go. This is my first time on a motorcycle, but I've wanted to ride one since forever.

When we come to a stoplight, Cain turns back a little.

"You okay?" he asks.

Aww.

"I'm fine," I nod.

He grins before turning back around to keep an eye on the stoplight. I take a hand off to itch my knee, the the motorcycle lurches forward so I'm back to gripping Cain like he's my lifeline. He laughs again and I playfully hit his shoulder.

We hit the faster roads and the feeling is amazing. I feel free and am having a lot of fun. Today has been a really good day and I can't wait for the beach. I've never been before and I think it'll be really fun. I don't want anything to end-

I don't want anything to end...does that mean I don't want Cain and I's relationship to end? Or is it just today? Jesus Christ, you'd think I'd be able to tell what I meant because I was the damn one who fucking said it. Lord. I just need to let go.
