It had started normally. Dice had gotten up. He had taken a long steamy shower to calm his mind for the busy night. He had dried himself. He had gotten dressed. He got all the thought he'd need then proceeded to go to the street full of bars, clubs and casinos. He had met with Nicky, but Nicky had wanted something else that night. Nicky's greed had decided it wanted something far more...sinful, then cash. The greed had turned to lust. Dice had seen it, night after night it slowly had grown. He had told Dice to back him up and be his wing-man. The arrogant bastard hadn't said anything about the night before. About all the things he had said to Dice. Either way Dice wasn't going to bring it up. He didn't need more of a reason to get snarled at. Although it was starting to become clear to him. He and Nicky weren't exactly getting along as much any more. Perhaps it was time to cut the ties.
Dice watched calmly as Nicky attempted to flirt with the girl further along the bar. He watched as the girl looked rather disgusted and rolled her eyes, clearly uncomfortable. Yet Nicky, as always, was persistent. He kept putting his hand on the girls thigh and slowly starting to creep up it. To which every time the girl pushed away. Only for Nicky's hand to resume its first position.
Dice kept watching as Nicky grew angrier and frustrated at his attempts to seduct, and Dice stepped in when he figured it had gone far enough. He got up from the bar stool and walked over. He placed his hand rather firmly on nicky's shoulder. Gripping it tight so Nicky couldn't pull away. The grip was to show Nicky that enough was enough and this was a serious thing he was doing. Nicky needed to drop it and just stop.
"Nicky, that's enough" he said sternly, gestering with a nod for the girl to get up and go. She took the hint, taking her glass off the side and practically running away.
"Hey baby don't go!" Nicky called after her getting from his seat. To which dice grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the exit.
"I think we've had enough for tonight" he replied calmly thinking about all he had gotten as a score that night. While keeping an eye on Nicky: Dice had gotten the chance to pickpocket from all the sleeping passed out drunks and scam some of the other people at the bar. He'd even managed to play a card game or two with the bartender.
Nicky pulled himself from dice's grip as soon as they got outside.
"The fuck is your problem dice? You're suppose to be my wing man!" Nicky yelled clearly mad about not getting a hook up.
"You were making her uncomfortable and disgusted. Do you wanna get picked up by the cops for being a perv?" Dice replied crossing his arms.
"What you talking about she's 18!" Nicky replied as dice scoffed.
"Sure 18, and not interested. If I hadn't pulled your ass away you'd probably go to jail for harassment. Consider yourself fucking lucky jackass. Cause jail would mean: no gambling, no alcohol, no girls" dice sneered turning his back on Nicky.
A silence grew with tension, the only sound through the air was the cheers of the people inside of the bar as well as the sounds of the city. For Dice the sounds were calming, it was peaceful. It reminded him of times with his mother.

It was night. The teen cowered against his mother. Staying snuggled so close to her stomach as they sat on the floor. A storm rumbled outside, lightning bathing the room white as it flashed and thunder cackled at the young teen as he hid. His arms were wrapped tightly around his mother as he hid and she had an arm gently wrapped around him. Using the other to rub his back in a soothing way.
"It's Dad isn't it? He's being mean to us again isn't he?" The teen asked quietly, giving a whimper as the thunder laughed at him again.
