Akuma was sitting in her room that night. Cold as ice, she sat on the floor, just as she heard the footsteps coming in the direction of her cell. Knowing what to do, she stood in a ready position, awaiting orders.
the opening at the top of her steel door opened, revealing the dark eyes of her own mother. This, Akuma could remember, that yes, this was her biological parent.
Aiko swiftly opened the door to the cell that Akuma called home, revealing the two tall guards, both holding their assault weapons. With eyes like pins and needles, Akuma could feel Aiko scanning her over with the cold eyes behind all of her pain.
"At ease, soldier," Aiko said firmly. Akuma loosened her stance. "We have something that will make history, soldier, and you will be it's product. Come along."
Aiko gestured to the soldiers. The two men grabbed the strecher from the wall and ordered Akuma to climb onto it. A ritual that had happened so often, that even if Akuma had control over her own memory, she still would have lost count.
She lay there on the rock cold table, her arms and legs bound to it by leather restraints.
As she was being pulled along, Akuma glared at the ceiling subconsciously. For some reason, in the back of her broken mind, she had thought that this time was different. She had no idea why.
The destination neared closer, and as they arrived, they were welcomed by the other scientists of hydra. And to Akuma's surprise, there were more scientists than expected. The room accommodated about thirty people; including all of the scientists, hydra onlookers, several guards and herself.
A loomingly tall man walked up onto a raised platform on the back wall, requesting attention from all.
"Good afternoon, everyone. Board, scientists and all who wish to see history in the making," he announced, "you are all here for a reason. As an organization we have always tried out best to.." he paused, looking for the right words. "Stretch the limits.. of science, per say, for the greater good we call Hydra."
Akuma nearly scoffed at the thought. After all that she had seen be done in the name of Hydra for so many years, she couldn't understand how this man could call it 'the greater good.'
The man opened his mouth to continue speaking. "Recently, we preformed experiments on willing people. These experiments have all gone successfully, giving us the newest form of weapon," he looked straight into Akuma's eyes, "You may be thinking, what is better than our Winter Soldiers? Hmm? Well, please prepared to be amazed."
Four guards walk out of the room beside the raised platform, carrying an armed and locked glass case. What was inside of this case strikes everyone's attention immediately.
Caged in the case that is now placed on a table beside the tall man is an exquisite artifact, glowing the colour teal with glorious light.
"This is the alien sceptor," the man started, "Coming from millions of light years away, just to find itself here. This sceptor was used by Loki, brother of the Avenger called Thor, to attack New York."
There are some murmurs and ghostly mumbling around the room. Akuma suddenly feels the table she is laying on being moved. The stretcher is transported by guards to the very platform this sceptor was on. Akuma has not one idea the power that this sceptor held or the infinity stone within it.
Akuma could feel all eyes on her as the stretcher was shifted upright. More restraints were attached to her and the wall. They needed to keep her still. Wires attached to large monitors were stuck to her chest, forehead, and abdomen. Needles bound to snake-like tubes were injected into her body.
The man now had the sceptor connected to a contraption that was one way or another connected to her as well. "This is a super soldier Hydra has prized for many years now. She is now going to become the first ever cosmically-enhanced super soldier."
The man spins to face Akuma, looking boldly into her eyes. He swiftly flips switches and presses a code into the monitor joint to the sceptor.
Akuma can feel something; like electric currents surging through her, and a form of blood-red energy is seen flowing into her veins. With a scream as shrill as death itself, her body begins to heat up, burning the air around her.
People begin to back up as her screams become more harsh, and her veins and eyes start to appear to be glowing red.
With the loudest clash, the monitors explode, sending unfortunate scientists and guards alike flying across the room.
