this chapter is just a brief summary of the early life of Akuma.

AKUMA'S BEGINNINGS.

Emily Garcia-Tunaki was raised by her Hydra agent father and Hydra scientist mother. Of course, as very much expected, when she was a young child, Emily was never let into her parent's professional life as she had no business being involved with Hydra at such a young age, even though her mother always told her that one day, when she grew up, she would do exactly what her mom was doing, and perhaps even better.

Emily had always grew up being closer to her father, Jon Garcia, as he always had much more of a soft spot for her than his Hydra scientist wife, despite himself being an agent for the same organization. And as all the years went by, Emily was a pretty normal child, until one day, her mother found out that her father had all along been a double agent for Shield and had planned to take Emily to shield with him. For years, he had been working for Shield, getting information on Hydra and their most prized scientist, Aiko Tunakai, who ironically became his real loving wife and the mother of his child.

Aiko had found out about her mole of a husband due to a carelessly misplaced letter from shield, and she had felt such anger that eventually drove her into near madness.

Although Aiko had tried to keep it to herself, in love for her husband and child, she could only keep her anger on the inside for a few weakly days. So then she let the anger and betrayal get to her head. Aiko became furious and went mad, killing her own husband in cold blood and loyalty to Hydra. This all happened when Emily was a small child, at only eight years old. Emily did not understand the death of her father at first, always wondering when he would come back from his mission to sing her to sleep. She always would hope the next night, he would be back.

In Aiko's anger over the next while, she began calling her daughter, Emily, terrible, evil names, and eventually, one stuck, and the name was Akuma; which means "Demon" in Japanese. From then on, she only went by Akuma.

After murdering her double-agent husband, Hydra ended up giving Aiko a raise and praised her for doing so. But just as things were beginning to go back to normal for her, Aiko saw bits of her husband in Emily, and she hated it. Using this hate, she grew the want to run tests on Emily.

Tests that had been risky.

Aiko then began experiment on Emily that had only been unsuccessful in the past.

These tests all went somehow successfully, to Aiko and Hydra's surprise alike, these tests all came out winning despite the pain the child had to endure for these years during and after them. Each one experiment had even seemed to make her stronger. So with permission from Hydra, Aiko obtained bits of the serum that had been used to make the infamous Captain America, and the Winter Soldiers. The serums were going to be used on a child.

They were going to be used on Emily.

By the time she was a teenager, Emily was strong enough, and would soon become the youngest super-soldier. She was set to train with the other future winter soldiers. Although Emily was just a kid, she proved to be just as strong, if not, stronger than the other winter soldiers- despite them all being adults.

As she began to grow into a young woman, she soon was introduced to the extreme torture and brainwashing that came with being a winter soldier. Around this time, she was also introduced to the current winter soldier. Serg. James Buchanan Barnes.

Over the years, the two would work and train side by side, although they were much less than friends.

The two began to hate each other.

After every mission James was given, his brain was wiped. After every training session with Emily, his brain was wiped. After the ritual was done for him, he was the one to do it to her. He was the one to put commands in her head and wipe out every bit of Emily's personality from her brain. And even though they never had any solid memories of each other, this loop began to form a subconscious and everlasting form of fear, hate and anger for each other.

With the authority the Winter Soldier had over her, James would take his anger out on Emily, who he knew as Akuma, as well.

Anger that he had was unable to recognize, and it was torture they would both never understand.
