Interrupted.

Part 15. You Called

Mrs.Jeon left the room when it was time for the doctor to give him a final revaluation before releasing him home. She knew how much harder it was about to get for her son, so she decides to give him a little more help. She was going to go see the little boy she remembers running past her to go find her son's nursery so many years ago.

She knocks on the door.

"Jimin, if you didn't bring me Strawberry milk like I asked, don't bother coming in".

Instead of Jimin, an older lady that looks really familiar to Taehyung walks in. He couldn't exactly remember how she looks familiar, but something about her tickled in the back of his mind.

"You must be Kim Taehyung, I heard so much about you form my son".

"I'm sorry?"

"I'm Jungkook's mother" the lady gave him a kind smile. The same smile that Jungkook happens to carry. No wonder why she looked familiar.

"Look.... mam....i don't want to be rude to an elder but-

"You can call me Victoria, or Mrs.Jeon.... which ever makes you more comfortable.....and as for elder? You know I could be your mother's age" She said looking at him as if expecting him to know something.

"Well, I wouldn't know because I don't remember what my good for nothing mother looks like. And....Mrs.Jeon....i appreciate the visit but as I don't want to talk to your son right now.....i also really don't want to talk to you. So if you could please lea-

"I wont take too much of your time. I promise. And as for your mother, you shouldn't say things like that. Every parent loves his or her child Tae. If you don't remember her, how would you know that she was a good for nothing?"

Taehyung didn't know what to say to that. Because as long as he could remember, he was just told by his first foster parents that he was a one night stand mistake, and that that's why his mother abandoned him. But he knows now that adults can be cruel, and in fact he truly doesn't even know if that story was real.

"I'd just like to help you out with your financial issue". Mrs. Jeon said to Taehyung out of the blue.

"huh? Come again?" Tae wasn't expecting this.

"All I ask is that you think about talking to my son, and give him at least 40 minuets, to explain himself. And I can help you claim back what is rightfully yours".

"You've lost me.....what do you mean that's rightfully mine?"

"You're the last white wolf, are you not? Did you think, your clan was big for nothing? There are still assets, sitting in a government vault somewhere. By law, it sits there for 30 years, until a clan member claims it. If not, the valuables is donated towards government funds."

"Wait.....so you are telling me. That I could be coming into a big chunk of fortune? Left there by a group of clansmen that I don't know anything about? THIS WHOLE TIME? "

"Yes. And because my clan has a big say in things like that, we can give you our vote in reclaiming what is rightfully yours".

"So you're bribing me?"

"OH no. Even if you don't talk to my son, we'd be more than happy to help you. I was just hoping that you'd consider it."

Taehyung wasn't sure why she was being so nice. But there was something about her that he felt familiar, like he could trust her. But that's how he also felt about Jungkook and look where that got him. Still he could use the money....

"I'd take you on the help if you could really do that for me. Being in the hospital like this isn't exactly paying the bills. And about Jungkook....I know that eventually we will have to talk. It's just very hard for me to face him right now. He..."

"I know he hurt you. Being married to my soul mate myself, I can promise you that I know how it feels completely. As our soul mate can make us 10 times stronger, they also have the ability to hurt us that much more. But because I am in the same position as you, I can tell you that once you open your mind up to each other....it gets easier. You'll be able to forgive him faster than you think. And better understand your unique bond".

Tae thought about this. He still felt like he needed sometime to think.

"I just don't think I'm ready to forgive Mrs.Jeon....im sorry".

She walked up to him and to Taehyung surprised gave him a gentle hug. "Theres nothing to apologize for darling. I'll talk to my husband and we'll get you those assets."

And just like that, she gave him a kiss on the cheeks and walked out the room.

That night it was storming hard at the hospital. Jimin didn't stay behind because he had work. At first it was just rain which Tae was ok with, but soon he was in the dimly lit hospital room alone and surrounded by loud thunder, clapping so hard as if it was going to break through walls. He sees bright strikes of lightning flashes outside his window, and Taehyung was terrified.

Taehyung doesn't know why Thunderstorms frighten him so much, but it has always been like this. It sends shivers down his spin. He was now hiding on the other side of his hospital bed, away from the window. He huddled himself into a ball, rocking back and forth trying to hum a song to calm himself down.

Usually if it storms, Jimin would let him sleep with him at night, so it's been a long time since he had to face through a storm alone.

His phone rings*

"Hey Tae! I know its storming pretty bad. Are you ok?" it was Jimin.

"Um..I um....trying"

"Oh Tae, the weather guys said it shouldn't last that long. Im sorry I cant be there...I have to hang up Tae, my break is over. Just hang in tight ok. I love you".

"bye" Taehyung said as jimin hung up the phone.

Just then the loudest BANG yet vibrated through Taehyung. How was he going to make it through this?

Jungkook had just got discharged from the hospital. They said besides being pretty fatigue, also the whole soul mate side effect thing, he should be ok if he got a lot of rest and stop stressing. But just as the car had got half way to his house, he felt it. For the first time after Tae being in the hospital, he felt Tae call to him. It was very small, but Jungkook could feel his fear.

"Jin Hyung! Please turn back around. I need to get back to the hospital! Taehyung needs me"

"Jungkook, are you sure? He said he needed space remember?"

"Hyung I know what I'm feeling. He's calling out to me".

Jin nodded at his younger brother and turned the car around, racing back to where they just left.

Jungkook ran past everything in a blur. He didn't care that people were telling him no running. Or that Jin Hyung had to explain to the security on his behalf. He just knew for whatever reason, Taehyung was terrified. The closer he got to the room, the more emotions he felt coming from his soul mate.

When he finally opened the door, at first he didn't see where Taehyung was, not until he looked on the floor, in the corner of the bed, there was Tae looking so small, curled up into a ball with blankets covering him all over.

"Tae?..." Jungkooked asked approaching him slowly.

Taehyung manage to look up at him, and Jungkook saw the frighten look in his eyes filled with tears.

He ran up and threw his arms around the omega, protecting him from whatever invisible thing that dared to harm the boy.

"Its...its so loud Kookie. I...im trying. But its so loud. How did you....?"

"You called to me Tae. I felt you. I'm here now, so please don't cry. I'll protect you, and I wont let anything else hurt you."

Just then another loud thunder pounded through the walls, Taehyung jumped into Jungkook's arms, clinging on to him tight. Jungkook had never seen Tae look so small.
