Part 20: Date Night

Taehyung likes his space. He's use to being on his own, even now that he has people he genuinely likes in his life.... he still loves his alone time. For the couple of days ever since the attack, Jungkook has been extremely clingy, and it was wearing him out.

Not the cute over protective clingy, but the dangerous annoying kind. They could be walking down the street and a person could give Tae the side-eye, and jungkook would growl. They could be grabbing a bite to eat, but if Tae needs to use the restroom, Jungkook would follow. God forbid, if Tae was opening a window at 3 am because it was hot as hell in his room, Jungkook was there in his head [WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?].

It was a lot, and Tae didn't know how much more he could take.

Its not like he didn't get why Jungkook would be so worried, but he just simply doesn't like to be boxed in. He could be in public now and would feel like a caged animal all because his alpha was taking the protective thing to a whole new level.

"...Babe....all im saying is if you won't sleep at my place, at least let me sleep at yours. I know Jimin wouldn't mind."

It was their Saturday date night, and it was suppose to be relaxing since tomorrow was going to be the first time Tae officially meets the parents. Instead, here he was at the movies and not only did they run out of butter for the popcorn but Jungkook is really doing 'THIS' here and now.

"What movie theater runs out of butter? Like why are they even open?" Taehyung said in a huff as they were finding their seats.

"Tae, stop ignoring my question".

"babe. I'm not ignoring your question but I told you. You can't protect me 24 hours. We still have lives to live. I know you're worried but your driving me crazy right now. So please just drop it".

Jungkook was baffled, he looked at Tae hurt and upset, "I'm trying to protect you and what? Its annoying to you? Its bothering you that I fucking care?"

The trailers were starting and people were giving them looks.

"Look, that's not what I'm saying.....what I mean-

"So what aRe you saying Tae? Because your thoughts are pretty damn clear about it!"

SSSHHHHHH~ hisses from the moviegoers came in unison.

"Can we not do this here Kook?" Tae whispered to Jungkook, hoping he'd calm down.

Jungkook took a hard look at Tae and got up and walked out the door. Tae was so embarrassed he didn't move from his seat. He could feel Jungkook's anger through their link, he feel that Jungkook was still close by just in case Tae needed him. Jungkook emotions went from angry to extremely hurt and Tae felt guilty. Tae knew this was their first real fight as a couple and he honestly didn't know how to deal with it.

The whole entire movie was a blank to Tae. He was too busy feeling bad about hurting Kookie, but also mad that Kookie couldn't just....understand where he was coming from. It should have been easier. Being able to read each other's thoughts and feelings, it should have made communicating simple....but instead it was harder in some ways.

When Tae walked out of the movie, he saw Jungkook standing near some claw machines at the arcade center, he was messing with the controller, not really trying to play.

Tae walks up to him and stood next to him for a good long minuet before speaking.

"These things are rigged you know".
