She smirked to herself as she ran through the streets of people, tucking in something that was around her neck, under her shirt so nobody would see. The cold metal somewhat stung against her skin for a moment, but not for long. She continued running towards a woods-type of landscape, running in and taking cover in trees.

Mikki sat down and when she got a bit further in, leaning up against a large tree trunk, panting slightly. She pulled out the small bag with a few pieces of bread and a couple of apples inside and a large piece of jerky. Oh, that mini little golden telescope thing wasn't the only thing she grabbed while the pirate was asleep. No, she made sure to grab a few other things that could buy her stuff. Nothing much, just gold coins that he seemed to have a lot of and wouldn't notice if some went missing. She pulled out an apple and bit into it, reveling in the sweet taste and moisture to somewhat quench her thirst.

As the young woman sat and ate, she reached into her shirt to pull out the golden object on the black rope around her neck. "Damn pirate should know better. Karma's a bitch, right?" Mikki muttered, smiling again at the golded telescope before tucking it into her shirt once again and finishing her apple. Afterwards, the girl looked throughout her surroundings to make sure she was alone and leaned back against the large tree, closing her eyes and deciding for a nap since she didn't sleep at all the night before thanks to a certain man.

It had taken a while, but Captain Arthur Kirkland had soon gotten his ship turned around completely and hopefully back on track to where the port they were just at was. Surely now they'd have to dock in another place where nobody would see the ship since they were just there, but Arthur would figure something out.

"Beilschmidt!" Kirkland yelled out. His quartermaster was soon at his side in the blink of an eye.

"Cap'n?" The Prussian said.

"I need to find that girl."

"Can I ask why, sir?" Arthur sighed and looked around to make sure none of the other men of the crew were nearby before getting slightly closer to the quartermaster.

"Let's just say she's taken something rather valuable of mine. And I need it back before anyone else finds that girl. Savvy?"

"Aye, sir!" Gilbert said, saluting his Captain.

"Good. Now, you remember what she looked like, right?" Arthur asked. He somewhat remembered, but it'd be better for someone other than only him to know.

"Aye, sir. Elbow long blonde hair, brown eyes, about five feet tall, moderately tanned skin."

"Good. Glad to know you're observant," Arthur said with a nod.

"..Do you really think you can find her, sir?"

"It will be hard to, but we can't leave again until I get that thing back. Understand?"

"Ja. How many of the men will be staying here to guard the ship?" Gilbert Asked.

"Most of them. I'll take you and a few other men and we'll go out and look for her. Remember to change into clothes that match the crew's so we won't be recognized."

"I understand, sir." Arthur nodded at his quartermaster and they both began looking out for any signs of land.

May 21, 1562

It was around noon the next day when they docked and the small group snuck off the ship and into the village. Arthur and Gilbert had changed to look like peasants on the street, as the few men they took with them had already looked like that. They turned into the woods behind the village and began looking around, Kirkland's hand resting on the handle of his sword for easy access just in case anyone showed up unexpectedly.

Mikki awoke to sounds of rustling leaves and hushed voices, cracking her eyes open and looking around. There was a little squirrel eating what was left of the core of the apple she'd eaten earlier. The woman was unaware of how long she slept until she realized that it was around noon the next day because of how bright it was compared to the dimmer light she'd fallen asleep to.

Her thoughts were cut off when she remembered the voices and footsteps growing closer. When she turned to look into the distance, squinting a bit, she found a small group of men walking her way, unaware that she was there. Her eyes caught sight of a head of silvery hair. She'd never seen a man with that color of hair until the night she was taken. No doubt, that was one of the pirates. However, he wasn't wearing the same clothes as he was on the ship. They looked like that of a peasant. Mikki didn't think the captain was with them, but wanted to take no chances and she quietly stood and looked up at the tree, finding she could climb it easily with no troubles.

Once as far up as she could go, balanced on a slightly thin tree brance that was supporting her easily enough and also hidden by the green of the tree leaves, she watched as the men walked beneath her.

"Keep your ears and eyes sharp, men. She could be anywere and we can't afford to lose her!" A few of the men gave solutes and broke off to walk around and look for what the woman assumed was her. The silvery haired man and another man stayed where they were under the tree she was in and conversed with each other.

"Honestly, once I get that telescope back, I'll be more than happy to cut her up and feed her to the bloody sharks!" One of the men said to the silver-haired one.

"I'll help you along, Captain," he said with a small grin. Mikki gasped. That other man that was with the silver-haired man /was/ the captain?!

Her shock caused her to lose her balance slightly and some of the branch snapped from under her. She grabbed a branch above her to steady her, but it was too late. Both men looked up and spotted her.

"Hey! Men! I found her!" Kirkland yelled. "Gilbert, get her!"

"Ja, sir!" The man named Gilbert said, soon starting to quickly climb the tree. Mikki yelped a bit and looked around, finding that the trees were rather close together. She reached out and grabbed a branch from another tree, stretching out her legs to stand on a branch over there.

By the time she got on her third tree, Gilbert was close behind her. Mikki heard the branches cracking and snapping under the man's feet, knowing it was because he was clearly heavier than her. However, that didn't stop him. The 'tree hopping' went on for a while longer before there was a sudden bang, and a pain shot through her arm, causing her to lose her grip and fall down to the earth below. It was all enough to knock her out from the impact. The last thing she heard before slipping into unconsciousness was the Captain ordering some of the men to pick the woman up and carry her back to the ship.
