Out Of Our Comfort Zone

It's way too crowded in here because I can barely walk from one side of the room to the other. I went to go get another drink at the bar, but now I can't find any of my friends. It doesn't help that it's almost pure darkness in here besides a few flashing lights around the inside of the building.

I feel a strange hand touch my arm so I turn to see who it is, and to my relief it's only Garrett. I instantly feel less anxious when he's with me because I know that I can be myself around him. He attempts to talk, but due to the loud music I can't hear him.

He grabs my hand and drags me to the bathroom. I manage not to spill any of my alcohol, so when we reach the toilets I drink all of it in one go and I chuck the cup on the floor. I can feel myself getting a little drunk now and I know Garrett already is.

He leans in to whisper into my ear. "I'm not really enjoying the party, do you want to leave?"

I lift my head up to make eye contact with Garrett and for some reason I have the sudden urge to kiss him. There are so many thoughts swirling around in my brain right now and there's too much to think about. So I push all of my thoughts to the back of my mind just to focus on how good Garrett looks in this lighting, with his hair messy, his clothes slightly askew and the intense way he keeps looking at me.

I move so fast before I have a chance to change my mind, so I clutch the front of his jacket and pull him down to give him a kiss. I am not sure how great this kiss would look to an outsider, considering we are both slightly drunk and we're in a bathroom that smells like piss, but it's still the greatest kiss I've ever had.

I'm not sure how long we've been kissing, but I finally force the two of us to separate as we both need to catch our breath. Garrett's hands are still holding onto my waist as I rest my head on his chest.

"Do you want to sleep at my place tonight?" Garrett says while holding me in his arms.

"Yeah, I would like that." I reply with a massive smile on my face.

I am not sure what all of this means or what will happen in the future, but we can figure all of it out in the morning.
