Fact #12 In pop culture, films, tv, and literature it's not common if at all to see characters of Portuguese (especially from the Açores) represented. With the Portuguese culture being costal as well as islanders they have a strong connection with the sea and pirates. In fact the pirates code was established by a Portuguese pirate. So I wanted to incorporated the culture (also my culture) into the story with it being Mikey and Brands main nationality As well as the Ozarcs.
