The Beginning

(Henmi's pov)

     I was walking home from Kalmart thinking about how I could deal with my awkwardness when socializing with people when I saw a little girl about 10 years old playing in the road.I just shrugged my shoulders and started to walk away.I heard what sounded like a truck horn so I turned around And saw a blue semi truck with a black flame decal speeding up on the girl who was frozen in fear.I immediately ran towards the little girl.When I got to her I shoved her out of the way just before the truck slammed into me at 75 mph.I was dead at impact.

     As I watched the scene play out Amaterasu called out to me in my mind and told me to bring the man who saved the child to her.I did as I was told confused on why he get to meet Amaterasu right now but I was not gonna refuse an order from her.

     I grabbed the man's unconscious soul and took him to Amaterasu.I threw the man off of my shoulder when we entered her chambers.

[What is she thinking?]

"Leave us." Amaterasu demanded.

"Yes ma'am."I responded.

(Henmi's pov)

     I woke up in a golden chamber with a bed.For some reason my back was killing me.

[Where am I?]

"Hello there mortal."Someone said from behind me.

     I turn around to see what looked like a child in a purple and gold kimono sitting on a mat with tea on a table in front of her.

"Hi, where am I?"I respond.

"Well let's see," the girl started"You saved a little girl whose life you changed forever and I asked one of my men to retrieve you and bring you to me."

I looked at her confused.

"You are dead."she said bluntly.

"Damn...So why am I here?"I asked

"Wow, aren't you calm," She said"Don't you want to know what you have changed for humanity?"

I stood there with a blank face.

"Well after you saved her she began working to save the lives of millions of others.First she started at charity but that wasn't enough.So she became a doctor while studying ways to end wars without lose of life.5 years after she became a doctor there was a war.Millions died so she went to the government and asked to see the leader of the opposing faction.Because they were losing they asked the other faction.The other faction said yes and she actually succeeded in uniting humanity.So what do you think?"she explained.

I stood silently.After a long awkward silence I asked, "So why am I here?I've done nothing to help anyone."

"I chose to give you a choice."She said.

"What is this choice?"I asked.

"You may reincarnate, mind you your gender will be random, or you may go to Heaven and most likely be forced to socialize with people who may or may not try to sway you to the path of banishment to Hell.No biggie."She explained.

"I'll chose reincarnation."I responded immediately.

"Very well step this way." She said.
