Loss of a mother, gain of a friend

(I just want to say that Zassephy has learned a lot of magic including a spell to hide her draconic features)

(Zassephy's pov)

(an hour after the end of the last chapter)

I woke up to find myself in the field that mom and the herd we were hunting were engulfed in flames. I looked around to see the herd was burnt to a crisp and mom still laying in the field her once white scales burned to a blackish grey color. I went to go dig a hole for mom.

(30 min. later)

I finally finished digging the grave when it had started to rain. I then went and dragged mom to the grave. After I put her in the grave I began to fill the grave using the dirt I had removed from it. I started to walk away before looking back one last time at the place I had once called home.

?: Come on we need to get going

A small machine said appearing next to me.

(I don't own anything from destiny 2. The ghost in question is actually black with small hints of red where the gold would be. The "eye" is pink. The ghost has a female voice)

Zassephy: I know Yasmin, I know.

I said to my A.i. companion.

Yasmin: So where are we going.

I shrugged.

Yasmin: I don't like this. You always have a plan.

Zassephy: Let's head to a human village.

Yasmin: You know you need clothes right?

Zassephy: Just get the clothes from that one knight that we helped 4 yrs ago.

Yasmin: I'm assuming no emblems. And to make it fit you.

Zassephy: Just a dragon, and yes for the custom fit.

Yasmin: On it.

(ignore the person and imagine the armor has red accents.)

After Yasmin finished all the little bits and pieces we continued south-west to the closest human village. It felt like three hours before I fell to the ground(they actually walked for one hour). I hurt all over and I was hungry and tired because I chose not to hunt due to the fact that I couldn't think straight. As my body hit the ground I heard what sounded like someone running towards me. I was too tired to care. I slowly started to drift to sleep even while Yasmin was trying to get me to stay awake.

(???'s pov)

I was walking through the part of the forest where there were supposed to be no people around. I was running from three men who were trying to take me back to the village. I kept running until I stumbled upon a girl who looked about my age in black armor with red accents. The girl had snow white hair and seemed to be extremely tired and hurt.

{Gotta help her or else something may come and try to kill her.}

I went over to pick up the girl. I lifted her up over my shoulder and started to run until I saw a cave. I decided it would be better to be in the cave than be outside with the men looking for me and all the monsters. I hid the girl under some bushes and checked the cave to find it abandoned.

I went back out to the bushes where I hid the girl and got her inside. After I got her in I started a fire and went to harvest some berries.

(Zassephy's pov)

I smelled smoke. I immediately shot up looking for the man that had torched the field, the herd, and most importantly mom. There was no one in the what looked like my old home. However, there was a fire in the middle of a circle made of stones. Since I was cold I went and sat by the fire.

(3 min later)

I was starting to drift back to sleep when I heard a twig snap from outside the cave. I got up and had Yasmin give me my mace. (the one from the picture)I made my way to the sound. As I was approaching the entrance a boy stepped Human boy stepped into the cave and looked at me.

???: Hey there, glad to see your awake.

As he said this he threw some fruit to me. I continued to look at the boy. As I continued to look at the boy I couldn't help but notice his jet black hair and scars on his arms.

(no gajeel is not in the book, however, the character only looks like him that is why I included this picture. I do not own Gajeel or anything from fairy tail and destiny 2.)

I slowly reach down to grab the fruits while keeping an eye on the boy. After I grabbed the fruits I went and sat back at the fire. He chuckled.

???: I don't bite ya know.

Zassephy: Snow...

???: What?

Zassephy: My name is Snow.

???: Ebon... Ebon Scarr.

Snow(Zassephy): Pleasure to meet you Ebon.

Scarr: Just call me Scarr it's easier to remember.

Snow: Right I'll keep that in mind. Did you do anything to me while I was asleep?

Scarr: I found you asleep, found a cave, and I put you over there so I could find food.

Snow: Thanks for helping me.

Scarr: No problem, thank Izmir that I found you before something or someone else did.

Snow:(to Yasmin)[Who is Izmir?]

Yasmin:[Izmir is the god of luck.]

Snow:(to Scarr)Yes I guess I'm finally having something go right for once.

Scarr: What do you mean?

Snow: My mother was killed yesterday while she was protecting me.

Scarr looked down.

Scarr: I'm sorry for your loss.

Snow: Thanks. I'm gonna get some more sleep so no funny business.

Scarr: Of course Snow. Night.

Snow: Night.
