Yoon's POV

Monday. A new day of a new week. People rush in the morning to get to work or school. Some take the bus or taxi, some take their own vehicle, others thought of healthy exercises and strolled their way down the streets. Some go alone and some have company by their side.

On this day, the unusual happened to me. I didn't take my car. No one drove for me. I ain't sitting on a seat in a bus. No transportation for me today.

"Exercise would be nice."

That's what I said this morning. And now I'm on my way to work in a navy blue blouse tucked into my black wide leg pants, my leather hand bag in my right hand and my phone in the other. I stared at people as they pass by me. Some glanced back at me and smiled. I politely smiled back. To kill time I decided to hum a random song.

After a few songs, I finally reached the entrance of the company. The tall glass doors slid open and I passed through. I greeted the employees I passed by and they greeted back. Some wonderful compliments just made my day.

I stepped into the elevator and pressed the button that'll lead me to the floor where my office is located. The elevator stopped and the doors open. An empty, silent hallway with dim lights filled my sight. I walked through the said hallway to my office. I eyed the door with my name on it. My hand grabbed the door knob and I pushed the door open. My eyes roamed around the room and expected to see Min Hee. But, I shouldn't expect too much. I sighed when no human stood in the room other than me.

All these days Min Hee never reached my office to work on time. She would always come at least half an hour late. Sometimes she doesn't even come to work. I would have fired her, but my mother never believed my words. She was so sweet and nice in my mother's eyes, but very disrespectful and rude to me.

"Honey, what did sweet Min Hee do wrong?"

"She would never do such a thing."

"Are you trying to joke with me?"

Those were the sentences I often hear from my mother. Unbelievable right?

I shook the thoughts away and arranged the things I'll need for work without her help. She'll come running in eventually. Wait and work would be the best thing right now.

*Knock knock*

That must be her.

"Come in," I mumbled before resuming to type on the computer. The door creaked and a head popped out from behind it.

"Ah, sorry for coming late. I had some things to do before." She sent her usual fake smile my way and went in. She closed the door and started her own work.

I couldn't help but to notice how messy her clothes were. She was wearing something similiar to me, only she wore a tight skirt. Her blouse was supposed to be tucked in, it seemed, but some parts were sticking out. Her skirt was a bit folded up. She isn't anywhere near ready for work. She looks exactly like a person whom just had a ma- wait no. I can't just jump into conclusions like that. It's none of my business anyway.

I grabbed the pile of papers waiting to be read and began looking through them.

The sound of a ringtone broke my focus. My hand reached out to grab my phone but I averted my gaze over to Min Hee. She stood up and hold her phone up to her ear.

Oh, it's hers.

She didn't bother to tell me where she's heading to and slammed the door close after walking out. I sighed and put my focus back into my work.

The door opened. Min Hee walked in, her phone still at her ear. I didn't look up but heard a few words that left her mouth.

"Babe, I'll leave work early. Don't worry." She giggled before hanging up. Then she turned to me.

"What are you looking at?" she said with a bit of attitude ... nope, a lot of attitude. She had that look of disgust on her face. How rude!

"Nothing, and who said you'll be leaving work early?" I asked her back and placed my hands on my hips. If I am a boss, I need to act like one. I have the right to scold her, don't I?

"I did. So I am leaving right n-"

"No," I sternly said, interrupting her. She glared at me and I gladly glared back.

"Who are you to te-"

"I am your boss. You are my secretary, so stop it and act like one!" I shouted at her and made her flinch. She stared at me with fear shown in her eyes. I felt guilty and opened my mouth to apologize.

She sat back down on her chair and mumbled some word. She didn't lower her voice enough though. She mumbled, "Bitch."

Ooh, now that's a bad move you made there, girl. I would like to take my words back, I am not going to apologize to her.

I need to hand these papers to my brother.

I walked back to my desk and did as I said.

The papers were happily recieved by my brother and he told me to continue my next work. I obeyed and returned to my office. Just when I passed by Min Hee's desk, I heard a familliar ringtone. My head snapped to the right to see Min Hee reaching her hand out to answer the call, but I was quick enough. I snatched her phone just when she was inches away. She was taken aback by my previous action and backed away. She then realized what I was about to do and stood up.

"Hey! You ca-"

My index finger landed infront of her wide-opened lips. I looked at her and she immediately shut up. My eyes landed on the screen that wouldn't stop litting up.

'Babe<3 ' It said. A smirk appeared on my face and I brought my finger up, tapped on the green button, and placed the phone at my ear.

"Babe! Where are you? Are you on your way? Why-"

"I'm sorry, but your 'babe' is working 'til her proper shift ends," I said to the unknown man.

"Who are you? Where's my girlfriend? What did you do?! I'm gonna-"

"Goodbye! Have a good day sir!" I bid and hung up. I turned my head to the left and saw Min Hee rooted to the floor, her eyes widened, and her mouth slightly opened. I smirked at her reaction.

"Close that mouth of yours. Flies wouldn't go in there anyways, too bad of a habitat for them. Don't expect too much. Oh, and here's your phone back. Your boyfriend seems to care a lot about you. He's a keeper, ya know?" I ended my speech with a pat on her head. Her hands didn't reach out to grab her phone so I placed it gently on her desk. I walked back to my desk confidently and proud of myself.

I never thought that confidence would find its way back and knock some senses into me. But, it felt good. I can't be a pushover and I won't be.

The actions I did earlier played in my head. I sighed and let my elbows rest on the table with my head in the palms of my hands. My gaze landed on Min Hee as she silently do her work.

The days at work will be more different in the future than the past. I just realized though, Yoon and Min Hee is far different than Yoon and Baekhyun, the puppy that I owned.
