Chapter 11: Broken

Yoon's POV

*Kring*

My hand landed on my alarm and I turned it off. I sat up and pushed the blanket off of me. I blinked my eyes a few times and let the sleepiness drain out of me. Once done, I looked at the alarm clock on the table beside my bed.

6 am

Great, there's enough time to get ready for work.

I stood up and made my bed. After that, I went in my closet and searched for some proper clothes for work. I grabbed the clothes that caught my eye and brought it with me to my bathroom. I hung the prepared clothes on the hooks behind the bathroom door.

I stripped out of my clothes and began showering. As I shower, a thought lingered in my head; Did Chanyeol really say that he cares for me? The thought bothered me for some reason; Chanyeol was so cold to me, why would he change?

After I dressed up for work, I took my purse and went downstairs to eat breakfast in the dining room. I saw a plate with delicious food on it on the dining table.

That must be for me.

I sat down on a chair and looked around.

Where's Chanyeol's and Luhan's plate? I feel so lonely.

Because of the hunger that I felt, I forgot about Chanyeol and Luhan for a moment and ate my breakfast. I saw Mina entering the room. She smiled at me and I returned the smile.

Mina bowed and greeted, "Good morning Ms. Yoon."

I swallowed the food in my mouth and greeted her back."Good morning Mina."

"Uhm, Mina? Where is Chanyeol and Luhan?" I asked her immediately once I regain my memory of them.

Food does make you forget the thoughts you were thinking before whenever you're hungry.

"Oh them? They went to work first," Mina answered.

Those two ... Chanyeol is an acception because he works in another company, but Luhan? No ...

"Oh, well then. I'll leave first," I told Mina and stood up. I took my plate and walked out of the dining room. I put the plate in the sink of the kitchen.

I left the house and went to the parking lot. I found my car and unlocked it. I went in the driver's seat. I placed the car keys in the key hole and started the car. Then I drove off to the company, Mae Company.

When I reached there, I parked my car in the parking lot. After I locked my car, I went through the building's entrance and headed to the forth level where my office is located. To make things faster, I took the elevator.

*Ding*

I walked out of the elevator. I took my phone from my bag and checked the time.

I hope I'm not late.

7:45 am

Just right.

I opened the door to my office and looked around. I saw Baekhyun sitting on the mini sofa near my desk. His face lit up once he saw me entered.

"Yoon! How are you? Better now? What happened to your lips? Were we caught last time?" He asked me. I smiled at his concern for me.

"I'm all better now. My lips? It was just bleeding because of ... uh, nothing you should know of. Lastly, we weren't caught." I smiled as I finished.

Baekhyun sighed in relief. He told me that we should start work now not to waste time. I agreed with him.
