Following morning

"Beam!" I could hear Kit knocking my door rapidly.

"You dumbass, are you awake yet? We have a class with your 'favourite' professor today, we cannot be late for class!" Kit knocked again.

"So, help me if you..." Kit couldn't finish his words because just when he was about to ramble off, I had opened the door, all dressed up and ready to leave the room.

"Kit, have mercy on my door and our neighbors, would you? You don't have to shout."

"Stupid! If I don't shout, you won't wake up because you're such a heavy sleeper. If a fire breaks out in your room, you won't even realize. Be glad that I'm around to wake you up."

"More importantly, why are you awake so early and are all dressed up already? Who woke you up?" Kit threw question after question, feeling baffled by his friend's unusual behavior.

"My dear Kitty, what are you talking about? Nothing is going on. I just thought that for once, I want to try to wake up on my own."

Well, it's not like I can tell Kit that I woke up because I got a morning message from Forth, right?

"You're usually not like this, but whatever that rocks your boat. Come, we have to go now, or else we'll be late," said Kit while dragging me to the lift.

"Kit, actually there's something that I want to tell you...." I said to Kit once we were in the lift, waiting for it to reach the ground floor.

"Do you need to borrow money?"

"What?! Not that..."

"Then what is it?"

"I won't be riding with you today..."

"Oh, you're bringing your car today?"

"Err...no... I'm..."

"What, don't tell me that you don't want to ride with me? Because if you are, I'm going to strangle your little neck for making me waste time, waking and waiting for you."

"No, not because of that too...it's because.... uhm...somebody is picking me up," I told him when I was getting out from the lift so that Kit won't be able to see my blushing face.

"Somebody? Who is it? The girl from yesterday?"

Well it is a person from yesterday, just not a girl...
