Chapter Five: "F*ck Off, Guys.  Tell Me What Really Happened."

My eyes fluttered open as I took in my surroundings. My head began to pound as a bright light shone in my eyes. Looking around, I realized I was laying down in a bed in a random hospital room. What? Why was I in the hospital. I barely remembered anything that previously happened. Besides the fact that Charlie and Cooper were not speaking because Cooper was being a super huge d*ck. Like he always is.

“Hey! You are awake!” Charlie exclaimed, pulling a chair up to sit beside the bed I was currently laying in. She seemed pretty ecstatic if you ask me.

“Uh wh-why am I here anyways?” I questioned, cocking my head to the side in confusion. I had so many questions swimming through my mind, that my head’s pounding began to increase.

“Well, um it’s like a really long story, and you are going to freak out, but do not blame yourself. It was his fault.” Charlie muttered, narrowing her eyes as she said ‘his’. Who was this guy then? Apparently Charlie did not like him. But for the life of me, I could not think of any guy that Charlie actually despised. Who on earth would that be?

“Okay, you are actually starting to freak me out. Now perhaps you can give me some answers?” I asked in a hopeful tone.

“Yeah, well let me--” Charlie began to explain everything right before Cooper walked in with a bouquet of flowers in his hands. Please tell me Cooper did not seriously buy me flowers.

“Look who it is. The man of the day.” Charlie said, scrunching up her nose in disgust. I mouthed to her ‘Are you upset still?’, and she just nodded her head. Wow Cooper actually p*ssed her off. Charlie does not hold grudges that long unless it is some serious bullsh*t.

“Nice to see you too baby sis.” Cooper said, smiling at her. He must think she is still not angry. But by the look on her face, you can just tell she is beyond p*ssed off. “So are you feeling okay?” He asked, handing me the flowers. For some odd reason, Cooper bought me a bouquet of my favorite flowers. How did he even know what my favorite type of flower is?

“Oh, uh thank you Coop. But can you set these down over there--” I asked, pointing to a side table beside my bed. “--and now I would like to know what the hell happened. Why am I sitting in a hospital bed and who is this guy Charlie keeps referring to?” I demanded, crossing my arms in front of my chest. This was absolutely crazy though. How can I not remember anything that had happened? But right as I was about to receive the information I had been in dire need of, the doctor barged into the room holding a clipboard.

“Hello Miss. Anderson, how are you feeling today?” The doctor questioned, giving me a small smile.

“Well accounting for that I have no idea why or how I am here, I guess I am pretty okay.” I replied to the doctor’s question.

“Oh well have you guys visited Alexander Gates? He is not in critical condition, h*ll, he’s not really injured at all.  He’s just taking getting ran over pretty hard.” The doctor informed us.  What the h*ll does that scumbag Alexander Gates have to do with this?  Charlie said that it was his fault. What was his fault though?   Did a doctor just swear?

“Yeah we were just waiting for Mickey to wake up. She literally has no idea what has happened, so we were just going to enlighten her.” Cooper said, rubbing the nape of his neck.

“That would be wise of you.  See if she remembers anything about the accident; it would definitely help your case if you had a statement from the person driving that Mr. Gates just came out of nowhere.”  He left the room after replying, leaving me totally confused and Cooper and Charlie looking at me nervously.
