Chapter 10: "It Seriously Can't Be You... TOC."

“Are we there yet?” Cooper whined for the millionth time. He was just as bad as a little three year old, who always asked ‘are we there yet’? It was driving me bonkers. I almost felt like I was the parent driving and Cooper was the little kid who whined in the backseat.

“Cooper, just shut the f*ck up!” Charlie whined, covering her ears.

Sadly Charlie was still acting like a b*tch and not talking to me. Unless she had a rude comment to say about me liking Cooper. Which come on, she is crazy right? But all I could say is I want, no need my best friend back. The person who has been there for me since the beginning. But I have no idea what to do, it’s as if she just does not care.

“Oh my goshness! Do you see those lights? I bet that is Vegas!” Cooper exclaimed, with a giant grin plastered on his delicate face. He was so funny at times.

“Coop, that is not Vegas. It’s probably a gas station or something.” I told him, glancing at the time on the radio. It was approximately six o’clock at night, and we have been driving for almost three days straight. We simply all took turns, rotating the driver. It also sickened me that Charlie and Alex still had their little ‘thing’ going on with each other. Every time I looked at them, I just wanted to puke or something along those lines.

“That is so not a gas station, you crazy girl.” Cooper replied, ruffling my hair. I swatted his hand away, hoping he did not do too much of damage to my hair. You know how long it takes for girls to get their hair to perfection.

“I am the crazy one? Well at least I know the difference between Las Vegas and a gas station dummy.” I said, smirking at him. I was the lucky one, who got to gladly drive while Cooper sat shotgun beside me. Note the sarcasm. Aha.

“Still, I think you are crazy. I mean you did have a stripping contest with a real stripper. At least I saved you from showing those people your tits. Those can be just for me to see.” Cooper joked, making my cheeks fade to a darker red. He really knew how to make me blush.

“Oh Cooper, you would not understand. First thing, I had to show that hooker who was on top. Second of all, you will never be seeing my boobs. Keep dreaming.” I said, smiling at him. Well that either A.) got him to shut up, or B.) he has no reply. Still, I cannot believe he said he was the only one who will ever get to see me boobs. Yeah, I know he was joking, but still. Aren’t I allowed to dream and live a little? Aha.

After a few more minutes of small talk with Cooper, we finally drove passed the light Cooper knew for a fact was Vegas. Well, I would hate to rain on his parade, but I was correct. It was just a gas station.

“Cooper, did you see that sign back there? We have twenty-two miles until we reach the outlines of Las Vegas. And wait until we hit the city traffic. I can assure you that that is not going to go down well.” I told him.

“Fine.” He huffed, crossing his arms as he began to pout.

“THAT IS IT! THAT IS F*CKING VEGAS!” Cooper hollered, making me jump from his sudden voice.

“Cooper, I bet you twenty dollars that that is not Vegas. There is no way in h*ll we have driven twenty-two miles already.” I said, raising an eyebrow as I quickly glance over at him, before training my eyes back to the road.

“You know what Miss. I-know-everything, you are on. I will pay you twenty dollars if that is not Vegas. But if it is Vegas, which it will be, you owe me twenty dollars. Deal?” Cooper suggested, making me smile. I shake hands with him, liking this deal. I just earned myself twenty dollars because Cooper can be a dumb*ss.
