Chapter 6: 25 Is Not Just a Number

I still was rather unsure if the information I was just given by Charlie and Cooper was indeed the truth, or a fiction story. After having them re-tell their story three more times, I decided to side with them. I assumed they would not make up something and lie to me because they are my best friends. I trust them both with my life. Well Charlie, not exactly sure about good ole Coop. But still, he is like a best friend to me.

“So you believe us then? You honestly do not think we would lie to you right?” Charlie asked, giving me her ‘I-am-telling-the-truth-believe-me’ face.

“Well…” I began, and seen both Charlie and Cooper roll their eyes. “WE ARE NOT TELLING YOU THE STORY AGAIN. EITHER BELIEVE IT OR DO NOT FOR F*CKS SAKE.” Cooper cut me off making me laugh. “I was messing with you guys. Of course I believe you. Best friends.” I said, giving them a lopsided grin. Right as Charlie was about to say something, the doctor walked in, informing me that I was indeed ready to leave. Thankfully I did not have a concussion. Or else that would have ruined this whole entire Las Vegas trip.

“One last thing I need to ask of you guys. Will you go check in on Alexander Gates? He seems a bit lonely and was calling for Charlie.” He informed us, looking over his clipboard. I watched as Charlie’s face became more pale as if she were about to hurl all over the floor. Cooper had the angriest look plastered on his face as he began to clench his fist so hard his knuckles began to whiten.

Assuming neither of them were going to say a word, I decided I would have to be the one to speak up. “Yeah, we will go and speak with him. What is his room number?” I questioned, getting out of the hospital bed.

“It’s actually right beside you. Just go out of your room and turn left.” He said, giving me a genuine smile. I nodded my head, and he left me all alone with two rather p*ssed off looking eighteen year olds.

“Guys, don’t be angry with me. We need to straighten things about with this person that I would like to call every bad name in the book. He is ruthless and has no heart. I still have no idea what he did to you Char, but I do know that he did something extremely devastating to you, and that makes me want to allow Cooper to beat the sh*t out of him. Though that will not go down well.” I said, grabbing their hands and pulling them out of the room with me.

We reached Alex’s room to find him laying on a bed, arguing with one of the nurses. “But I need to sue them. They cannot get away with this! I was ran over for f*cks sake!” Alex said, throwing his hands up in the air. I could tell he was extremely p*ssed about the situation he is in.

“But sir you were intoxicated. Random people, who are sober, usually do not stroll out into the middle of the road and not jump at the sight of a moving vehicle!” The nurse tells him, trying to get him to stop yelling and acting like a three year old.

“Oh hey guys.. what do you want?” Alex asked, with irritation  in his voice. He had a deep scowl upon his face as he looked between Charlie, Cooper, and I. Whatever, he was the drunk one, I was the sober one.

I could not help that it was dark outside and I did not see him walking onto the street. If there were no people in this room, I would gladly slap him to China. But as I have said before, I would rather not get arrested, so I will just mentally shoot daggers at his ugly face. Yeah I just called Alexander Gates ugly.

“The doctor said you wanted to speak to Charlie?” I asked, shifting my gaze from his ugliness to the floor. If I stared at him any longer I think I might go blind or turn as ugly as he is.

“Oh well, not just her. I just meant I wanted to speak with you guys.” He told us, crossing his arms in front of his chest.

“Speak you d*uche.” Cooper muttered. I could tell Cooper just did not like Alex. Not for any particular reason. He just did not. Though I am one hundred percent sure he has no idea what Alex did to Charlie. Hell neither do I.
