Varian x Lapis (Laprian)

Accident

Varian sat in the grass as he looked over all data he had collected. "There's got to be a way to recreate that vortex," Varian said. "So I can get back to my universe."

Suddenly, Varian heard screaming and turned around to see a familiar small, green gem running towards him. "Peridot?" he said. 

"Help!" Peridot screamed running up to Varian. 

"With what?" Varian asked. 

"Lapis," Peridot said. "She's seriously mad!"

"What did you do this time?" Varian asked. 

"I was practicing my metal powers," Peridot said. "And I accidentally ruined her newest meep-morp."

"What exactly do you want me to do here?"  Varian asked. 

"Anything!" Peridot exclaimed. "Calm her down! Distract her! Just do something!"

"Too late," Varian said once he saw a familiar blue form approaching them. 

"Pretend I'm not here!" Peridot cried out hiding behind Varian. 

"Peridot!" Lapis angrily yelled landing infant of them. 

"Hey, Lazuli,"Varian said. "Um, you're looking good today. Did you uh, do something new with your physical form?" He kept moving to keep Peridot behind him as Lapis kept trying to get closer. 

"Stop playing games," Lapis said as she kept trying to get her hands on Peridot. "Hand her over."

"Can't we talk about this?" Peridot whimpered as she clinged to Varian's leg. 

"No!" Lapis yelled. "That meep-morp took me forever to make, and you destroyed it!"

"It was an accident," Peridot said. 

"Me destroying your physical form is going to be the new 'accident'," Lapis said as she dashed towards Peridot. Peridot screamed. 

Varian quickly reacted and took hold of Lapis' face. Before he knew what he was doing he smashed his lips against her's. Lapis' angry expression changed to one of shock. She slowly closed her eyes in content and wrapped her arms around Varian. 

Peridot took it as a chance for her to make her escape and ran away as fast as she could. 

After a minute or two, Varian and Lapis broke the kiss. "Wh-what was that?" Lapis asked sounding breathless. 

"Something dumb," Varian said. "I won't do it again."

"No," Lapis said. "I like it." She started to lean in for another. 

"Don't you have a gem to destroy?" Varian asked with a bit of sarcasm. 

"Forget her," Lapis said smashing her lips against Varian's again.
