Varian bit his finger as Lapis rubbed her stomach. Lapis' family was still staring at them with their jaws dropped. 

"Um," Varian said. "I know it's a lot, but-"

"Ahh!" Steven happily yelled grabbing Varian in a bone-crushing hug. "I can't believe it! This is so amazing!"

"Can't breathe," Varian said. 

"Sorry," Steven said. "I'm just so happy!"

"Can I?" Peridot asked standing next to Lapis. Lapis nodded. The small blonde placed her hand on Lapis' large belly. 

"I knew you were still naughty," Amethyst said trapping Varian in a headlock and rusting his hair. 

"It's wonderful," Sapphire happily said sitting next to Lapis. "Oh, I still remember the joy Ruby and I felt when we were expecting Garnet."

"Does this mean you two are going to tie the knot?" Pearl asked sitting down. 

"Wait, slow down," Varian said before he was lifted up into another crushing hug from Garnet. 

"You guys totally should get married now," Steven happily said jumping up and down. 

"Wait, we're only twenty-one," Varian said. 

"But you guys are going to be parents," Steven said. "Shouldn't you get married?"

"Ruby and Sapphire didn't get married until Garnet was an adult," Varian said. 

"You saying you don't want to marry me?" Lapis said crossing her arms. 

"No!" Varian exclaimed. "It's just still early for that kind of commitment."

Lapis rolled her eyes and stood up. She walked over to Garnet and took Varian from her arms. "You're already going to be a dad," Lapis said. "I don't see how a husband is a bigger commitment."

Varian stuttered as he tried to figure out what to say. Lapis shut him up with a kiss. 

"You two are such a mess," Pearl said. 

"Ah, lighten up, P," Amethyst said. 

Lapis broke the kiss and sat back down on the couch, taking Varian with her. 

"So, have you guys thought of any names?" Steven asked. 

"Lilly if it's a girl, or Peter if it's a boy," Lapis said. 

"We've kind of been discussing all of this for a while," Varian said. 

Lapis tilted his head back and planted her lips on his again. Lapis had been getting more clingy and affectionate since she  found out she was pregnant. She couldn't last being without Varian's attention for even a couple minutes. He never really complained.
