1 in 3 people are silently suffering, looking for help and just a speck of light in the midst of a pitch-black tunnel. Inside they stumble, fall and reach out, anything to make it to the end of the tunnel. Desperate, they fall into an endless cycle of hope and hopelessness. No one to look out for them, no one to trust. Alone they wait, consumed by their own thoughts and doubts.
If you listen closely at night, you can hear their silent cries for help.
If only a single person could look past the obvious, and see their pained struggles, we would be better off. The world would be better off.
Alas we are too self-absorbed to see past out own problems to reach out and lend a hand.
Until then, I'm on my own.
