It all started one day we were on our way to Inside Outside to get a couple of burgers. My brothers and I were happy as ever.
So before we went to eat, we stopped at a service station to get some gas.

"Hey dad, you want me to pump the gas?" Ryan asked.

"No son, Randy can, besides he's older and needs to learn to become a man." Dad said.

"Why do I have to do everything, Rachel's older than both of us and Ryan's a man in the family also, I'm only two years older than him and that's not really a big difference." Randy snapped.

That's when dad gave him the look, then instantly Randy said he'll pump it with his head down.
Wow! Nobody talks to dad likes that except mom, and that's only when she's really ticked off, I thought to myself.
Before dad went in mom said "Randy don't buy one of those lottery tickets again, those things are just a waste of money that we don't have."

"I'm not hun, I've learned my lesson from all the other times I basically threw away our money". Dad agreed.

When we went to Inside Outside dad ordered twenty burgers and five fries. You guys can eat some for breakfast and lunch tomorrow. We didn't care if he only ordered one for each of us because their burgers are so good and we only get these occasionally.

By time we got home the three of us were full as a tick and knocked out. They carried Ryan and made Randy and I walk inside.
Randy whispered to me, "why do they give him all the special treatment", as he pointed to Ryan.

"One you need to stop being so jealous and two he's the baby, I'm fifteen and your twelve. And plus you're dad's favorite, if you wasn't you wouldn't be a junior now would you. Just think about it, remember when you told dad off at the gas station back there, if it was either Ryan or I we would've been on punishment for talking back. Instead, he didn't even say anything to you." I snapped.

"Thanks for the pep talk Rach." He said sarcastically.

"Don't mention it baby bro." As I smacked him on the back.

Then we all went to sleep when we got into the house. I felt as if I was sleeping like an angel. I was full and the a.c was blowing hard, it couldn't get any better than this.

Then all of a sudden, I woke up drenched. Did my dream about lightning and thundering come true, I thought aloud.

"Nope!" My dad and brothers screamed and popped out of nowhere.

"It was us because Miss Sleeping Beauty didn't want to wake up." Ryan said in a five year old girl scout voice.

"You guys scared the life out of me." I growled at them." They all laughed then.
"Hey, what time is it?" I said embarraingly and trying to change the subject.

  "It's 11:56 now." Ryan answered.

"Well, what do you guys want and why did you wake me up."

"I bought two Powerball tickets and they're going to announce the lucky numbers on the news at midnight." Dad said.

"So quiet down before you wake mom up." Randy chimed in.

"Ok, so you guys are waiting to hear the numbers but what does this have to do with me?"

"We all have a good feeling about this one, and we also need you to pray over it with us."

"And if I do I can go back to bed, right guys?"
  "Why sure." Ryan said sarcastically.

My dad lead the prayer, and he prayed for about two minutes. When we got done it was 11:59.

Let's hold hands guys, dad said excitedly. "

Hey what are your numbers on the tickets, I asked.
    "Fifty-seven and ninety-three." Ryan said.

When the news came back on the lady on there said that the lucky numbers are three hundred twenty-seven, fifty-eight, and lastly fifty-seven.

We all screamed and jumped around. I couldn't believe it, I was going to pass out.
DAD, HOW MUCH DID WE WIN AGAIN, Ryan screamed to the top of his lungs.

"Twelve million dollars!" He screamed as he picked him up to the ceiling.

Mom came upstairs to see what was all of the comotion.

"What's going on?" She asked curiously.
"Honey, you should sit down I don't want you to pass out or anything!" He said sitting her on Randy's bed by her shoulders.

     "What is it Randy?"
"Baby, remember when I went in the service station earlier today?"

         "Yea!" She answered angrily.
"I bought two powerballs and we won twelve million dollars."

She started to scream and give us all hugs.
"Randy, were going to call the lottery place and the bank first thing in the morning. Kids, go to sleep and get your rest we have a long day tomorrow. And Randy, I'm so sorry I told you don't get a lottery ticket, I'm actually glad that you didn't listen to me."

"Well, I couldn't have done it without the magnificent power of the lord."

"And Randy we're calling the moving van, because we're moving out of this town. So kids, it'll be here bright and early so get a good night sleep. Love you guys!"

That night it felt like I was up for like fifty hours. I just couldn't go to sleep, I was so excited. My whole life was going to change. We were going to move to a new and bigger house, we were going to go to a beautiful private school, and for the first time in my life I was going to be spoiled.
Then suddenly, I got lost in my thoughts and I drifted off to sleep.
