Meeting (Chapter 1)

Galaxies

Half Moon

  She is still in my hand, glowing bright.

  Nightshade was waiting for me on the roof.

  When he spotted me, he came right over, making sure I was alright. Then he smelled Galaxy.

  He sniffed the star in disbelief, then used his head to nuzzle into me.

  He always knew what to do to make me feel better.

I wrap my arms around his nose, and kiss him. 

  "Thanks, buddy." I say, scratching his neck.

  He snorts in reply, sitting on his hind legs.

  I plop down next to him, and he lays down, head in my lap.

  I stroke his ears, reminding me of soft velvet.

  "Wanna help me find a good place for her?" I ask, making a dome of glass form over us.

  He snorts and buries his head into my lap more.

  I sigh, scratching his head again.  I dont know what I would do without him.

I make the glass darken to black, and I think of her favorite galaxy.

  Every one was her favorite. She loved them all.  It didn't help much.

  I thought of the Milky Way first, since that was the galaxy that I was in now.

  The glass changed, forming an image of earth.

  I zoomed outwards until I had reached the planet Neptune.

  I analyzed the stars, deciding which ones to be around Galaxy.

  She didn't deserve these stars. These stars would consume her beauty.

And the Empress wouldn't be too happy with a Moon angel in her galaxy, anyway.

  I decide to go somewhere else.

  I had never seen Cybertron before.

  I thought about what Ratchet said. The whole planet was made of metal. So was its two moons.

  I kept trying to imagine what it would look like, and the dome kept zooming outwards, until I counted five galaxies passing.

  There is was.

  Cybertron.

  About ten times the size of earth, the planet had different ridges and markings, all covered in rust.

  I saw the giant asteriods circling the planet like Saturn's rings.

  I saw the two metal moons, mini versions of Cybertron.

  It would have been beautiful, if it was still alive.  Now it was just hanging dead and lifeless.

  I decided it wasn't good enough for her.
