Scar had enough nightmares and trauma from when he was a cruel ruler. Was this his punishment for being a bad leader? If so, it was working. Scar never wanted to be king again as long as he lived. Scar wanted nothing more then Maddy comforting him but she was at a formal dinner party. Then Scar looked up at the other Scar who was human. He was standing in the doorway in his normal stance of having his legs spread wide and his arms crossed his chest. He suddenly did some hand gestures and proceeded towards the lion who was laying on the ground.  "I know what you are going through; guilt of the past, wanting to take it all back and fix your past mistakes, wanting nothing more then to forget about the past, but thats how we learn from life. Life gives us tests, and we then learn the lesson about how we should act and how we should be in the future. It differs from creature to creature. I myself have a bad past that I want to forget. I accidentally killed my brother in a match we were in, I kicked to hard and made him lose his life. I can never forgive myself for what I've done. I pray every night that she will be safe from harm when I cannot be there to protect her from harm. Scar the lion, if you choose to stay here you have the best life possible. If you don't choose to stay here, then that's ok. If you want to be Maddy's companion animal then you will be at Maddy's side, you will have the best luxuries money can buy. You will be dressed in traditional African attire to suit your species as an African lion. I'm sure Maddy will take care of you as best she can. You will also be wearing an African style harness for when she goes out to places and needs her guardian animal with her." Scar added with great wisdom. Scar thought for a moment and decided that this was best for him, he will be living like a king, but his responsibility will be protecting his mistress. Scar the human got up and bowed to the lion before him. Just then Maddy had gotten home safe and sound. The two talked until Scar bowed to his queen and mistress. Scar the lion had walked up to Maddy who was looking quite concerned about the auburn lion's well being. "What's wrong Scar?" asked Maddy. Scar told Maddy about having nightmares and how he was ashamed of how foolish he was for killing his own brother just so he can gain the crown. Maddy hugged Scar as he hugged back. Scar then started to cry on Maddy's shoulder "I want to be your guardian animal, Maddy" Scar said with tears streaming down his face. Maddy wiped them off and nodded her head
