Ethan

Ako takot?

Oo konti.

As much as I didn't want to admit it, I also got scared that Laura would back out of the wedding.

I was afraid that one day, she'd wake up and find that you're missing me... ay mali... hindi pala ako kakanta. Yun na nga, like I was saying, baka one day magising siya and realize this is not what she wants. Or, that I'm not who she wants.

Yung una magagawa pa ng paraan eh; pero yung second? Paano na?

Wala naman siyang ginagawa to make me doubt. It's probably just my insecurities and knowing what happened with her before that was eating at me.

"Ethan, I like this color motif... blush pink and grey. Do you like it? Tapos, look ganito itsura niya sa invitations. Nice 'no?"

"Oo. Maganda nga."

Nagkunwari ako na passive observer lang sa first few weeks ng preparations namin. Ayun nainis.

"Ethan, have you contacted yung gagawa ng barong mo?"

"Yes."

"How was it?"

"Okay naman. Mura lang."

"Sila ba gagawa for all the men sa entourage?"

"Hmm?"

Before I knew it, may lumilipad na cupcake papunta sa ulo ko.

"Kung nakaka-hassle sayo yung preparations, sabihin mo lang. Ayoko din magpakapagod!"

Then, she stomped to the kitchen to get... something. I don't know. Wala naman yata siyang kinukuha, nagmamaktol lang.

"Huy. Sorry. Sorry na!"

"Nakakainis na eh. Parang ako lang parating busy para dito."

I hugged her from behind. "Love, pwedeng isarado muna natin yung ref? Ang lamig eh."

"HAY NAKO!"

Nagdabog ulit pabalik ng living room. I hugged her again. "Sorry na!"

"Hindi ka ba excited for our wedding?"

"Excited."

"Pffft. Wow, excited nga," she said, sarcastically.

"Sa sobrang excited, nakabook na ako ng honeymoon, tapos na yung barong and pants ko, tapos na yung mga pinapaasikaso mo sa akin sa flowers, music, church and reception. Other than your dress and the invites, wala ka na talagang aasikasuhin. Ay may food tasting pala tayo. Booked na din. Confirmation mo nalang hinihintay."

"Talaga?"

I nodded. "May song list na din ako that you might want to check."

She launched herself at me. "Oh my god! I was so afraid you were having second thoughts about this."

I held her tight. "I was afraid matakot kita if I showed you how excited I really was."

"I'm never leaving you."

I hugged her tight again. "I'm sorry kung may fears ako ha? I'd probably be nervous until the day of our wedding. Baka kasi marealize mo hindi mo pala kayang tiisin habang buhay yung mabaho kong burp."

She pulled away. Slowly smiled and said, "The burp is fine. The bathroom after you poops might be the dealbreaker."

"HUY!!! Dinadamihan ko naman spray ng air freshener! Naglalagay pa ako ng kandila!!!"
