There is a certain beauty to staying up past midnight with your best friend talking about nothing but at the same time the absent minded talk is everything. We will never be this young again. This summer is our entire world for however long it will last. The nights staying up late forgetting that the rest of the world even exist let alone is sleeping. The two thirty food run trying to be as quiet as a mouse but quietly failing. Being woken up at twelve in the afternoon by our parents desperate attempt to avoid our tired eyes. The memory of how sun burned you got but your friend only got tanned will stick with you forever plus how you peeled for weeks after you got burned. Laughing for ten minutes straight because your friend feel off the bed and started snort laughing. These memories, these moments are what we live for, what will define us as we grow. Our memories are what we think of when we need a happy place to go to, or when you need to hide away from the world that is being so cruel. Your friends are who you go to when you need someone to laugh with even when your so sick you can't sleep and it's three hours away from the start of a school day. A day you get to go home and sleep but your friend who stayed up so late with you has to trudge through the day with no sleep and a horrible headache. We are only who we want to be in these moments no matter what the rest of the world yells. We are going to foolishly fall in love and not give a shit what our parents try to warn us about because we want to live our lives in our moments not theirs. We will figure out our paths our way through the ups and the downs to learn who we are in the one life we have because this one life is ours.
