Chapter 4

Hi my little dandelions! Can i just say WHAT HAPPENED. I have 1063 reads on this, I cannot believe this at all. Its insane. Thanks so much to all of you for reading and supporting my crappy updating times (Its been like 2 weeks since I posted that Authors Note!) So heres Chapter 4!

PS: In my story Octavian is very out of character because in my head hes very sweet and is geniunely nice.

Nico closed his eyes thinking maybe he would pretend to be asleep to avoid little Mr.Perfect (aka Jason) but he felt the ladder leading up to the mast moving. 'Wow theres a ladder... " he thought. He had always shadow traveled up here hoping no one would be able to, or even want to, reach him. Jason reached the top of the mast and climbed over into the wooden (Authors Note: what the heck is that thing called! the like round thing that pirates stand in at the top of a mast with their telescopes and yell 'land ahoy'... i dont know what its called so im called it the wooden mast. not very specific but whatever) mast and adjusted himself into a seated position. The area was very very small so Jason and Nico's legs were pressing against each other. Jason had butterflies in his stomach from this but he couldnt make a move. Nico was obviously in love with Percy. Nico broke the silence, "What are you doing up here Grace? Shouldn't you be volunteering at a soup kitchen or saving a damsel in distress or some other noble act of bravery" Nico sneered at the last part. He didnt mean any of it, he thought Jason was an amazing person and genuinely would do all of the things above just because he wanted to help, but he didn't want to be that damsel in distress that Jason so obviously saw him as. He had develolped feelings for Jason ever since their visit to Cupid but if there was anything worse than Jason rejecting him it was Jason forming a relationship with Nico out of pity. Jason didn't flinch at Nico's words, they were hurtful but he knew Nico used them as a defense against getting hurt. "I came to talk to you of course, not that you don't have plenty of people to talk to while you're up here all by yourself but I couldn't sleep so I thought I would come talk to my fellow insomniac." Nico just turned to him, did Jason Grace just use sarcasm. He wanted to laugh but it didn't exactly go with his 'I'm the scary powerful goth Ghost King, fear me' persona so he just kinda looked at him with a half smile. Jason beamed at even the slightest smile from the Ghost King, Jason wished he smiled more often. He was adorable when he did, especially his little half smile smirk. "Honestly though Nico is there anything you wanna talk to me about, you know you can." Nico glared at him "No I dont wanna talk because I came up here for a reason. To be alone. So if you dont mind I am going to go back to my cabin unless of course you are on your way back to your cabin." NIco replied with venom. Jason had hurt in his eyes but Nico ignored it, "I guess I'll see you at breakfast then Neeks." Jason smiled at him half heartedly before climbing the ladder down. Nico was slightly touched at the nickname, it was sad but no one had ever called him that but Bianca. NIco closed his eyes and went back to being absorbed by his music, The Lonely by Christina Perri was on now, Nico drifted into a half-asleep state.
