Jasico and Pertavian- Cupids Game

Chapter 8

Hello! So here is Chapter 8! 

Cupid gazed down at the small pool of water, images flicked at lightning speed across the surface. Images of love; of couples breaking up, making up, having a fight, having a first kiss. The images bored Cupid, he had seen it all before. So predictable, so unexciting. A flash caught his eye and he halted the steady flow of images. In the water was the blonde son of Zeus and the dark souled son of Hades that had come to visit him, and they were together. They fit together so well, Cupid saw the faint glow of love that surrounded them. He looked closer in the enchanted water, it allowed him to see their entire romantic history. He saw their conflicting feelings while in the crows nest of the Argo 2. He saw Jason's confusion as well as Nico's self hatred. "My plan..." he breathed out, wide eyed. The water now showed the brief moment in time where cupid and their lives had crossed. It seemed to move in slow motion. Cupid's arrow soaring through the air and sinking into the son of Hades arm. Nico looked up at Jason and their eyes met. Cupid had never been this invested in a love story before. "A son of Zeus and a son of Hades" he thought "how dangerously interesting." He pondered the effect the arrow had on them. The tales of his arrows had been highly exaggerated. People didn't fall madly in love the second Cupid's arrow hit them. The arrows gave people the best chance possible with their true love. The arrow's magic worked so that when the person met their true love, it intensified everything. It intesified the love, the connection, the communication, butit could also make the conflict stronger. All magic comes with a price, all of the good that came with the arrows could be accompanied with bad. Cupid layed back and continued watching the water. "This is going to be an interesting game"
