Dorinda's POV
Negative... again. This is the fourth time that me and my husband tried to have a child. I picked my phone up off the counter and called Chanel.
Hello
Hey girl. I took the test again.
Please tell me that you're pregnant this time
I'm not
I'm sorry girl
It's okay
Are you still meeting me at 12?
Yeah girl
Okay girl. And I'm bringing someone with me.
Is it China?
No girl. It's her best friend Kelsie.
Okay and where are we going again?
We're going to the mall then to this restaurant that's close to downtown
Okay girl
Okay bye
Bye
Once I got off the phone with Chanel, I called my husband. Unfortunately he didn't answer the phone so that means that I'll have to tell him tonight. I walked into my room with my phone still in hand. I go into my closet and pull an outfit out and put all but my shirt on. I went back into the bathroom and started to do my morning routine. When I was done with that, I went back into my room and put on the shirt. I grabbed my phone and keys and walked out the front door, locked it and got into my car and drove to the mall.

"Hey girl"
"Hey Do," Chanel said when she saw me. "Do this is Kelsie, Kelsie this is Dorinda." We said hello and started to walk to the Nike store. Once we were inside, Kelsie walked towards the guy shoes area, probably to look for some shoes that are not at a high price.
"So why did you want me to meet her again," I asked.
"Remember when I told you that China had a friend that doesn't have a mother," she asked me.
"Yeah."
"Well Kelsie is that friend."
"Really," I asked her not believing her.
"Yes really. She told me that her dad told her that her mother left them when she was four months."
"And why are you telling me this?"
"Because your mom dropped you off at the orphanage when you was a baby. Look you didn't have your mom growing up and she doesn't have her mom. I figured that you can help her open up and come out of her shell."
"Okay," I told her. She ended up dropping the subject when Kelsie came back to us with one pair of Air Jordan 1. They were mostly yellow with white and black.
"Is it cool if I get these," Kelsie asked Chanel.
"Yeah Roo you can get them," she told her. "Are those the only pair you want?"
"Yeah, I don't want to spend all of your money."
"Roo I don't care about the money. As long as you're happy then I'm good."
"Okay," Kelsie told her. We then walked to the cash register and Chanel paid for the shoes. Once she was done buying the shoes, we walked out of the store and got into our cars and left to go to the restaurant.
~~~
"Thank you again for going out with us," Chanel said. We were outside of her condo. Kelsie was inside the place, probably going to tell China about her day.
"No problem," I responded. "And Kelsie seems like she had the time of her life."
"Yeah, she doesn't really go anywhere. Her dad is always out of town and never leaves her money."
"Are you sure she's telling you the truth?"
"Yeah, Roo would never lie to me. Why you asked that?"
"I feel like she's lying to you about something. But anyways I'm going to head home and tell Jason the news."
"Okay bye girl."
"Bye Chanel."
I walked out of the building and towards my car. Once I got in, I buckled up, put my key into the ignition, crunched my car up and drove towards my apartment. The only thing that was on my mind was how I was going to break the news to Jason.
