Narrator One's POV

As the next week approached, while Mrs.Evans was calling role, she notices that Kelsie wasn't in class. For the whole class period she was hoping and praying that Kelsie was okay and well, like she did the week before after Officer Bolton came to the school to talk to Kelsie. Once class was over she called China to her desk. "Have you heard from Kelsie lately," she asked her.

"No. I haven't seen her since last Tuesday," China told her truefully. After the whole thing with her mom, China stopped talking to everyone, including her mom, but Alex and Jazmine. She wish she could say the same for Kelsie, but Kelsie told China not to talk to her again that night. Even though China was heartbroken, she accepted the fact that Kelsie doesn't want to be around her anymore. As she was leaving the classroom she thought to herself that maybe she can pay Kels a visit and try to talk things out with her.

After going to the police station to find out where Kelsie's foster home is located, China was at the front door waiting for someone to answer the door after she knocked on it. When the door opened up, she saw Kelsie. China was happy but her happiness was soon replaced with concern as she took Kelsie in.

"What are you doing here," Kelsie asked China.

"I just want to see you and ask you why," she answered truthfully.

"I told you already. I don't want to be friends with you anymore." But what China doesn't know is that none of this was Kelsie's idea. Mrs. Teal made her do this. One, so China doesn't get involved in the situation that has already gotten worse. Two, Ms. Teal doesn't like the "gay" people. She found out about Kelsie being a lesbian is when she saw Kelsie and her daughter kissing in her daughter's room one day. Even though she hated Kelsie anyways, this made her hate grow.

"Kelsie honey, who is that at the door," someone China didn't know.

"Just a stranger Mrs.Teal," Kelsie replied. She then turned back to the door and looked at China. I'm sorry is the last thing China heard from Kelsie before Kels turned around and walked back inside the house, not before China saw deep cuts on the inside and the back of Kelsie's legs.

China was at the police station talking to Officers Jason about the whole situation, but for some reason he doesn't believe her. To him, Kelsie is just a child that is just not used to the fact that someone wants to be in her life, but little does he know that he would get the call that would change his life forever.

Meanwhile back at Teal's foster home, Kelsie is getting beat by any and every weapon Mrs. Teal can find and use. She should've known that she wasn't going to be saved from this place. To her, she already fucked up twice. But what she didn't know was that today was the day Mrs. Teal was going to attempt to kill her.

"Why do you have that gun," Kelsie asked with fear in her voice and eyes. But her foster mom never answered her, instead she just points the gun at her head and pulled the trigger.

BOOM!!

Kelsie thought her life was over, until she opened up her eyes and saw Teal on the ground in the attic surrounded by a pool of blood and Teal's daughter, Layla, running out of the attic to never be seen again. Kelsie was still chained to the pipes on the wall and couldn't feel anything since her limbs were numb. All she could do was wait for someone to find her.

Three weeks later, Officer Tommy was called to do a check on The Teal's Foster Home. A neighbor of hers called and said that every night for the past three weeks she's heard someone screaming. At first she thought that she was hearing her son tv. But the last week he was gone out of town for a hockey game.

As he knocked on the door, he heard someone whippers as if a child was hurt. So instead of waiting for someone to open up the door, he kicked it down and went into the house to find no one in there, for now. Tommy then started to walk into the rooms on the first floor. When he saw that no one was in any of those rooms, he then started to go up the stairs. While he was doing that he felt something fall on his face. As he wiped it off and decided to smell it, he was hit with a sour smell, like someone pissed themselves mix with blood. He realized that the smell was coming from the attic once he looked up and saw a small patch of blood stains. Once he entered the attic, the first thing he noticed was Mrs. Teal's decaying body on the ground and the sour odor getting stronger. Then he looked up and saw Kelsie unconscious body handcuffed to one of the water pipes and realized that she's hurt badly. Tommy came to the realization that Teal's been the reason that Kelsie never wanted to come back to this place. Other than the smell getting to him, he walked out of the attic and out of the house before pulling his phone out and calling for backup.
