Dorinda's POV
"Hey baby," Jason said as he walked through the door. He is a local policeman. We met seven years after I graduated college. And we got married three years after we met.
"Hey," I said quietly.
"What's wrong?"
"I got to tell you something."
"You're pregnant aren't you? Finally! I'm so exci-"
"I'm not pregnant Jason."
"What?"
"I'm not pregnant." We sat there in silence. The look on his face was one of the looks that I never wanted to see: it sadness and hurt. We stayed like that for five minutes before he said something.
"Well do you want to try again," he asked me. "It could be that we don't really try. We could just try aga-"
"I don't want to try again," I raised my voice a little bit. I looked at him and signed. "I don't want to try again," I said quietly. We sat in silence for another five minutes.
"Well do you want to adopt then," jason asked me. "If you don't want to then it's okay with me." I looked at him and thought about it, realising that it wouldn't hurt to give a parentless child a home with parents that would do anything to make and keep them happy. That was something that I wished for while I was in foster home.
"Yeah it wouldn't hurt to do so," I told him.
"Well okay then so tomorrow I will get the papers for us to get our foster license then."
"Why that?"
"It's best to get a foster license instead of going straight for the adoption."
"Okay," I said. "Oh and I have to tell you something else too. Today I met China best friend today. Her name is Kelsie."
"Kelsie?"
"Yeah Kelsie."
"I know a young girl name Kelsie. She's one of the sweetest kids I know."
"Okay well something doesn't seems right with her. It's not her but I feel like that she's lying to Chanel about something."
"Like what baby?"
"I don't know, but I'll let you know okay."
"Okay night baby."
"Goodnight," I told him. I walked into our room and got into the bed. I laid there for at least twenty minutes before I fell into a deep sleep.
